Hi, confused, welcome aboard! beer2beer.gif

Sadly 'If I Ruled the World' isn't available on DVD, nor is there any hint it'll be released anytime soon.

It was made by the BBC and Hat Trick, so it might be worth emailing them and asking if they have any plans to release it on DVD or even repeat it. There's all the info you need on the Hat Trick contact page.

Best of luck! smile.gif

I'd love to see it again. I was thinking the other day that it would fit in wonderfully on Dave.

Very true - tis just the sort of thing Dave would show, maybe an email to them is in order too! biggrin.gif

You can contact them by going to the UKTV contact page and filling in the form. There's a drop-down box which has Dave there, so you can send it specifically to them.

If they're not interested then there's perhaps Paramount Comedy or even Challenge TV - they've started showing Shooting Stars on there recently after all.

But I don't get those on my telly, so Dave is the best bet!

At this rate, I'll have my whole collection on here soon. However, this is a ticket for the recording of 'If I Ruled The World'. Hat Trick advertised free tickets in Private Eye and I got a ticket for this date...and this just happened to be the show that Tim was a guest on too so I was very chuffed.

That's really cool, Elk, and how lucky to get Tim on the same show too - excellent! biggrin.gif

Thanks for sharing all these - they're very much appreciated. smile.gif

And that is better than nothing---however the quality is always degraded a bit by the conversion process and small sizes required by youtube. It'd be wonderful if the originals showed up on some other site, so we could have a better look. (and you know I'd share 'em, but I don't have 'em.)

It was very enjoyable. A while ago now but I seem to remember the recording was much longer than the broadcast show with more rounds played. I also remember how good it was when Graeme replied to Tim's statement "I think it's time they repeated The Goodies on television" during the 'I Couldn't Disagree More' round (Graeme was always fantastic in this round). Even though the audience broke into applause, I remember thinking that the BBC were sure to cut it out of the show so it was excellent when the episode was broadcast and the reference was included. It's a pity only two series were made, though they would be perfect on Dave.

They would. We should all email Dave and suggest it.

It is always nice to see something on veoh....but I'm sure many of us would also like the option of a megaupload link.... the quality will be a bit better without the veoh conversion factored in.

(speaking only of non-commercial material.....)
