In Trukz for every hour of driving in-game your driver will need an hour of real world rest. If you drive for 5 leg hours your fatigue level will rise to 5 fatigue points. It takes 1 real world hour of sleep (inactivity from the game) to lower your driver fatigue down one point. So, if you drive for 12 hours you will need to be inactive from the game for a total of 12 hours to have your fatigue points reset to 0 the next time you login. If you login to the game within 6 hours of your last leg your fatigue level will only lower 6 points.

When you are in-route and see a message that says, "You are exhausted and beyond your HOS. If you don't pull over soon you are going to fall asleep at the wheel or get a ticket for driving beyond your HOS." it will be time for you to put the game aside and give your driver some rest. Continuing on while exhasted and beyond your HOS (Hours of Service) can lead to tickets for violating your log books and/or crashing your truck for driving while exausted and the loss of driver rating points (-0.5). Heed the warning signs of fatigue or you will pay the price for pushing your driver beyond his limits.

Actions that factor into driver fatigue include driving legs of your route, refueling, and repairing your truck. Each of these actions cost one fatigue point to your driver.

You can regain 2 points of fatigue by clicking the Quick Rest button either in your driver profile or in-route. Rest stops cost $100 and you can only use them once every 24 hours so use this option wisley.

Institute something like:
Coffee: -1 Fatigue Point
and
No Doze: -2 Fatigue Point

Though both with an added risk of a crash.

Rest stops for fatigue reduction are already in game. I have detailed how they work in the OP.

If you don't have at least 100 dollars you can go to a rest stop.

it's random, anything over 10 gives a chance of a ticket.

I like the rest stop thing but it made me laugh so darn hard when i first used it. imagine see that on the road a toll booth to get into a rest stop. Correct me if i'm wrong but don't you think drivers would bust through the toll laughin as hard as they could set the brakes and go to bed? that would take care of the over crouding of rest areas when i go on the road with my dad most the time at night when you go by a rest area all you see is a line of chicken light all the way in they are parked out to the interstate. i dunno where i was going with that but 100 bucks is kinda outrageous i would understand if it went towards a good cause like "help cure sick kids rest stop 1 mile". But you press that button and like that 100 bucks gone and you don't know where it went.

Basically you shouldn't have to pay for a free service. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif funny idea man. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I have to agree, my truck has a sleeper in it, I can find any place that trucks are allowed to park and sleep for free.

Just think of the $100 as the other costs associated with resting... like food, the gas you would use idling, entertainment, etc. It's not like the only thing you do is drive and sleep.
