Welcome to Tribal Unity

In this world, you are alone, no where is safe, all the adults have died. No water, no electricity, no light. Anarchy is ruling the streets, fear is a constant factor. Everyone is looking for anything that will help to do what everyone is trying to do.

They are all trying to survive.

Tribes are formed, to recreate the world to our vision. But what if this vision is wrong, what if anarchy and chaos will settle in these Tribes?

The fear of the virus will stay, anarchy will still rule the streets, and survival is hard. But together? Together it will be fought. Fighting for a better world.Fighting for something where the adults made a wrong turn.

Now it is our world!

Tribe:

A tribe is a group of children who live together to make survival easier. A tribe mostly consists of tribe members and a tribe leader(s). Tribes get formed in different ways. Most of the times it starts with a small group of people where other people join up with. Tribes are mostly started by older children/teenagers.

Tribes can vary a lot in size. There are tribes with only 5 to 10 people, but also tribes with over 40 members. Tribes mostly consist of people with the same ideas, the same values. For instance you have the Eco Tribe, who value the land and are against polution and the old ways. They live in the nature, not in cities.

The place where Tribes live differ a lot too. Most tribes are situated in the city. But tribes can also be found in smaller towns, and some tribes even have settlements in the forests or taken refudge in a farm, where they now grown their own food and hold their own animals. Tribes are more naturally formed in smaller towns then in the big city. This is mostly the cause that children in the smaller towns already knew each other from before the virus hit.

Tribes have come to use a name for themselves. It mostly reflect what they stand for, or where they come from. (for instance in the tv-series you have the Mallrats, they live in the mall, hiding like rats, it says where they live). Names can also have various effects. One it is easier to have a tribe name, as you can tell other people to which tribe you belong to. Another reason can be to cause fear (for instance the loco's and demondogs in the series).

Another important fact in tribes is that tribal members mostly use the same dress code. Wearing the same colour clothing, same pieces of clothing. But more so they define where they are from with accesiories and especially make-up. (you can connect this with what we call youth sub-cultures). Each tribe developes it's own culture within the tribe, by clothing, values, ideas and make-up.

The style of a person can immediatly tell another to which tribe he/she belongs to. Even without verbal communication.

Tribe Leader:

A person who leads the Tribe, who makes the final decision for his/her tribe members. A Tribe leader can be a sort of dictator, or can go by the democracy rules. Some tribes has multiple leaders. It depends from tribe to tribe. He/she also guides the other tribe members, handles in disputes, hands out tasks and makes decisions about trades and when needed, to move the settlement. It is mostly the oldest member from a tribe who makes a tribe leader.

There is not always a Tribe Leader in a Tribe, but mostly there is one or two persons who stand out above the others. In some tribes it's obvious to see who's the leader, in other's it's harder to figure out.

Tribal leaders are mostly appointent to by the majority of the tribe members. Or the Tribe leader is the person who made the tribe and brought the tribe members together.

Tribe Member:

A person who is part of a tribe. Being a tribe member does not mean you are a slave of the tribal leader. Each tribe member mostly has their own duties to attend to.

Outcasts:

One who does not belong to a Tribe, or more so, one who has belonged to a Tribe, but has been kicked out. Most outcasts seem to live on their own, some live together, forming an unofficial tribe.

Strays:

One who does and never has belonged to a Tribe. In the first months after The Lonliness you'd find a lot of strays roaming the streets. Usually the younger kids were the victim. Nowadays there sure are strays out on the streets. Not all belong to a tribe.

---------

Terms in The Tribe:

The Lonliness: A term used for the period when the adults started to die because of the virus. And at that time the children had to survive on their own, the time before the forming of any tribes.
