Located in scenic Sunset Point, New Jersey, Travers Academy was founded by the Travers family in 1900. We pride ourselves on the academic and theatrical achievements of our diverse student population. With our experienced faculty, Travers Academy is the best choice for your middle or high school student. So reads the brochure I received from Travers Academy. I'm Marcie Howard, Travers Academy freshman. I thought Travers would be the school of my dreams�smart kids with music all around. When I visited, everyone seemed so darn nice! But now I'm realizing, things at Travers only look nice. We have problems. There's the girl who thinks she's all that, when, really, there's a real popular group who aren't all that nice. They're ready to take over, but she's standing strong. There are the theatre kids, who rule the school. There are the jocks, who don't really matter. And then, there's my friends and me. We're the school band. Not officially, but we play at all those secret parties�and, believe me, there are secret parties. Not that Travers doesn't rock. Because it's still amazing. But, while things look perfect in the brochure, things at Travers are definitely not what they seem. And, believe me, none of us would have it any other way. Travers Academy --------------------
