The following are the rules every member will follow, and it is here to make sure that you follow the rules of the board. Failure to do so will result in possible warnings, suspensions, or even the termination of your account.

Topia Terms of Service, Use, and Notices

1. Prohibited Content

You may not post, upload, link to, e-mail, or PM any content that contains, promotes, instructs about, or provides prohibited content of the like listed below:

• Content that infringes upon any rights [ex. MP3s and ROMs] (including, but not limited to, copyrights and trademarks)
• Abusive, threatening, defamatory, racist, or obscene
• Viruses or any other harmful computer software
• False Information or libel
• Spam, chain letters, or Pyramid schemes
• Gambling or Illicit drugs
• Terrorism which includes Flaming and Trolling.
• Warez, Roms, CD-Keys, Cracks, Passwords, or Serial Numbers
• Pornography, nudity, of any kind
• Excessive profanity
• Invasive of privacy or impersonation of any person/entity
• Hacking materials or information.


If you see any of these rules broken and are posted somewhere around the site please use the report feature and type in the reason why its against the rules. You may copy and paste the rule(s) posted here and then post that on the report sheet to specify your reason(s).

2. Additional Rules

• The Report feature should only be used as a means of alerting staff members of inappropriate, abusive, and/or respective behavior. It should NOT be used as a means to contact a staff member.
• No spamming, flooding, or bumping topics excessively.
*There is a reason there's an edit button, so be sure to use it to update your post.
• Please do not ask to be promoted to any staff position on this board. We only offer promotions to those experienced members that we find suitable for the position.
• All advertisers/recruiters/abusers will have their PM privileges taken away. (Those who take advantage of the PM system)
• Do NOT ask us about any codes that Topia is using. Do not PM any Administrator or other staff asking "Can i get the code for--?" The answer will be a definite No. If you keep on asking then you will be suspended.
*Basically do not ask us about anything Topia is using..

3. User Accounts

Each user is responsible for any and all activity performed on their account. The sharing of accounts is not acceptable, and each user is advised to keep their account secure. We are not responsible of what happens to your account. Nobody will ever ask for your password for any reason and nobody should. Keep your password safe from any hackers and do not give any hints. This is your fair warning.

3.1. Multiple Accounts

a) The use of multiple accounts to bypass punishments such as, but not limited to, posting restrictions, suspension, or bans is strictly NOT allowed and in such cases your account(s) will get banned.

b) The use of multiple active accounts on Topia at any given time is not acceptable, and will result in punishment upon discovery of such actions. We will know so beware.

c) In other words, you may not have more than one account on Topia. If you do, your other account(s) will get banned. Stick to one account and just use that one.

4. Advertising

Advertising of any sort on Topia is limited to the "Home Page" in your account settings, no where else except for text links in your signature. Any graphic inviting/depicting someone to join a site is not allowed and will be removed without warning. Advertising found in any other areas of the board is permissible to be removed by the Staff. If you continue to advertise on the forums, after your topics and/or messages have been deleted you will get suspended or even banned from the forums.

4.1. Prohibited Advertising

A few members have been Personal Messaging and e-mailing other users to join other forums. If this happens to you, please report the user immediately!

Also, report all links, in topics or sigs, that are not appropriate at all. For your safety some recommendations are:

• Change your profile settings to hide email from non-staff members
• If you want to share your email, consider using a different email account that is not your main account.
• If people annoy you, bother you, threaten you, or if you just don't feel comfortarable with them, you can use this failry unknown feature to block people from PMing you. Go to My Controls then under Messenger click PM Buddies/Block List. In this way you can block users from PMing you, and you can add people to your buddies list so you won't have to type their name when PMing them.
• Always be aware of unknown links sent to you by people you do not trust.
