Just grab a bar of ½ or 3/4 and stick it in the fire and hammer one of these out.

I made mine using SquirtSmithing techniques, but I'm sure you'll want to play with the coal fire and hammer technique.

Notice I even did my best to remove all the nasty Metric references in consideration of your allergy.

I ain't the one loosin it Egon, you are.

It's a figure 9. Sure as hell you remember them from the riggin box, or weren't you Canahodians allowed the modern conveniences?

I haven't been interested in beer beyond accompanying a good limburger & onion on dark rye since I worked the winter of 66-67 in Genesee Brewry. The stuff I saw go on in that there beer foundry would have turned even a sane man off to beer.

All the lifting I seen was with cable , slings and hooks. biggrin.gif

No need Egon, actually the jamming is a bit counterproductive when you need to release.
A simple half hitch serves the same function as jamming. The whole concept ain't a lot different from a boat or awning cleat.
