As stated; why were the stones piled like they are in the picture?

Sort of looks like some crazy Canahodian stacked em up for a fire and wanted to take advantage of the prevailing wind.

Ah, settin up a wee ultramodern Canahodian Smithy are ye?

I love the double footbellows so you can keep all your extremities in motion.

Marko should have your ambition.

Will ye be poundin out oarlocks for the rowboat?

Me Bye's, the first picture is a smelter for the making of Bog Iron. The second is the stone on which the bog rocks are broken with cold water and pounded.
The third is the Smithy.

What you seen's is a replica of how the Vickings made iron when's they was in Northern Newfoundland back around 1200AD or so. biggrin.gif

Heres the picture of the boat they's working on. biggrin.gif
