mostly thr tri state. but that doesnt mean I dont want to hear from any of my welding brothers in the other surrounding states I was just wondering whose closest to me. I work as a sanitery welder, meaning I weld stainless tubeing for the food industry. I also have an intrest in ornamental welding and woodworking.

Also I would like to add that my company is sending me upta Maine to take a test for vertical and over head stick with 7018 rod, im useing 1/8 . the steel is 1inch, I pretty much got the vertical covered I am just having a little issue with the over head. Any tip would be appreciated, I realize this is not the correct forum for asking advice but I kind of tend lose focus, by the way were am I?

Keep the arc short, damn near dippin the rod in the puddle, and mess with the amperage and voltage till it runs right. That's why they put them remote boxes on pipe machines.
