Title: I guess I'll chime in

W.D. - August 14, 2005 12:24 AM (GMT)
:ph43r: Just thought I'd drop a line and say HI and spill a few beans. :o

I have been hopping around a few boards now adding a few replys here and there. So heres my story.
This board is the only one I've introduced myself on so here's me.

I had to retire for medical reasons 2 years ago (next week) and the Internet surfing is something I do now to pass the time. I have been in the woodworking and millworking bussiness most of my life (until I had to retire). I have however had the priviledge of doing many things in my years on this earth. I can honestly say that I am a Jack of all trades and a master of none as one would put it. I can relate to almost everyone on this board as to their professions cause I've dabbed a little in everything......and that includes some church preaching like the Franz.

I enjoy chewwing the fat with the best of em and I try not to get on the bad side of anyone (at least not on purpose).

I get enjoyment of reading these few forums and I'll be watching (in the background) most of the goings on.

I posted here because it seems that when I post a reply the thread seems to die.
So don't be afraid of me I won't bite!!!! (hard)

Maybe we oughta DRAFT a volunteer to tabulate the last 3 boards we all been on to determine who killed the most threads.
Of course, that might be kinda difficult cause about anybody in this gang who can count that high has been banned from at least one of the boards. Then there's the problem of the board that went into archive in the hopes newcomers wouldn't mention our names.
Aw the hell with it.
I gotta go take a sensitivity class cause I was notified today one of my posts was abrasive and demeaning to the membership of a site, who don't know shyt, but think they can build an engine driven welder. I musta mistook one of their lace doileys for toilet paper.

Franzie,
If you take a sensitivity class this board is going to be too boring to stick around.

I think I'm gonna come up with a scotch guard product for computer hardware and some kinda container to hold all the BS.
Life is good when your having fun.

Franz...I agree with you on the fly paper glue.....sooommmee nasssty stuff.

I guess they would have to boot the rest of us to! :D

Welcome WD

Franzę - August 14, 2005 03:03 PM (GMT)
Franz has already been booted ut of several seisitivity classes. You'd think the people running those things wouldn't be such panzy azzes.

I'm heartbroken cause the entire staff of the Hospital ICU had to go thru it, and I didn't even get invited. Me and the head doc coulda sat together and reduced that sensitivity counselor to a quiverin pile of shyt. It was very insensitive of them to not invite me.

Maybe I oughta open up a sensitivity school.

Franzie,

Now just one hot darned minute grandpops!!!! Where's Lurlene? Let's stick to one project at a time. Just cuz Moody is here with us doesn't mean you have free rein to go wandering around the back 40 doing whatever you please just yet. Lets get organized and back on track!!!

Franzę - August 14, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
Roy from what I been hearin HoFart is so lost without their pet Moody they are formin up search parties to go lookin for him.

Moody's got a great carear waitin for him in government, all he ever does is make a halfassed start on a project, then figure out he overestimated his ability and underbudgeted the project, then make excuses for why the project can't move ahead till ti gathers dust and cobwebs. Meanwhile Moody is right there waitin for his paycheck every week, and moanin how underpaid he is for what he accomplishes.

Franzie,

Ease back on the throttle there Roy, and kick in a little Dynamic, I ain't no grandpop, and judgin by what I've seen of LN's issue chances are slim to none, unless the boy either becomes human or knocks his fist up.

Ya know, there just might be a market for a sensitivity training program with melodic organ music in the background. Lurlene certainly could have a calming effect on people back in those days, and she'd be in her 50s now, so it just might be something I need to look into. They say them new portable digital organs are pretty dang portable and I could always weld up a cart to tote the thing. If it takes off we could even hire Moody to string extension cords when we do programs in the NJ area.

BTW, will you and Killer be takin Scamtrack over to that gambling joynt or are ya flyin?

Scamtrak...no way in he!! I've ridden on some nice trains over in Europe, but passenger trains in the U.S., except for maybe commuters in the NE and West Coast, are a waste of money. Too great a distances and too slow a transport. That and good ole Congress has legislated retirement for those boys...just ain't legislated any money for it....gotta sick feeling they will try to shove 'em in with RR Retirement since are funding is flush. Doesn't really matter if they ever paid in a cent does it?

Franzę - August 14, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
You should know real soon on the retirement cause a large bunch of Scamtrack employees out of Indianapolis are comin due in the next year or so according to my information. Supposedly they all been 401Ked, and will get retirement bonuses as well.
Scamtrack must not have gotten the goin out of business notice cause they are lookin to hire a bunch of replacements. All the new people will be 401K.
BTW what the hell is in them railtrailers they haul behind the Scamtrack flyers? Some Congressman's family has to manufacture those stupid contraptions.

Wyoming - August 15, 2005 07:30 AM (GMT)
Trailers? What trailers? Franzie, I can remain blissfully ignorant of darned near everything about Amtrak since they no longer pass this way. They are most definately in your neck of the woods, out on the West Coast and maybe a stray EmpireBuilder or City of New Orleans here and there. Glad to be rid of them...schedules and coal trains don't mix at all well.

Biggest scam out in this neck of the woods is the DM&E trying to finagle their way into the Powder River Basin to haul coal out across South Dakota. They'll get the job done...shell for either BNSF or UP or both. Scam is they are doing it on the taxpayers' dime...RR Revitalization Act. Bend over Ma & Pa Taxpayer! They put out some real rosy propaganda...running passenger service on the same trackage as the coal...sure, if you don't mind the four hour delays in the middle of So. Dakota waiting on a stalled coal load to get shoved over a hill or a break-in-two fixed. Its a crime what they think the average citizen will believe except they are probably a fair judge.
