Title: Thank you MetalMeet
Description: Especially Rick Tucker

Subject: Banned from Metalmeet.com

Well Franz, I guess you just don't want to play in our sandbox.
Just for your information, John Brown hasn't involved himself in your
posts at all, so you were shooting at the wrong duck. What you
failed to recognize was, none of us are willing to allow our friends to
be hammered, so I'm banning you from the site. I'm personally
tired of the drama, as are all the other admins. You were given
ample opportunity to behave appropriately, but chose not to. We
have had a very decent and congenial site since your exit. I intend
to keep it that way. Best of luck with toolboxtalk.org.

Rick Tucker
Administrator - BOD

=============================================
Now Mr Tucker et al Directore of Metal Meet, may I strongly suggest that you forthwith contact your attorneys and hire some loss managment professionals.

Mr Tucker, you chose to begin this attack by calling me a pornographer. You may not recall that, but rest asured I do and took apropriate actions to record your comments in a permanent manner.

In the common parlance, you stuck your feet in the manure pile, and the remainder of the Board of Directors chose to ignore their fiduciary responsibility to the 501 C3 corp you are all so fond of beleiving protects you. That inaction not only exposed the MetalMeet Corp but each and every director as well. Have a Merry Christmas boys because you made 2008 a very happy year for me. Thanks especially for holding an official Metal Meet in New York. That gives me the ability to bring action in New York.

Thanks for the gift boys. Now go study up on passthru liability and 501 C3 corporations.

Private Messages and YOU!
Some time back Franz alluded that PMs (Private Messages) could be read by admins on Vbulletin boards. Yesterday David Coffer made a comment:

which prompted Doug98105 to ask:

Are you guys reading the PM's exchanged between members?

Doug

In a PM exchange between Doug and I, he commented that if in fact moderators could read PMs that fact should be known to members. While the mere question that Doug asked was offensive to me, this particular comment of his I happen to agree with so let me address that now.

Franz and David have made comments about PMs being viewable by moderators with the VBB software that MetalMeet is run on. I/we have no frigging idea if this is true or not. You have my word that if it is possible we do not know how, want to know how, and are not doing it.

However, playing devils advocate, if we were unethical enough to read PMs do you think we would be ethical enough to tell you????

So you have some choices regarding PMs:

1- Believe in the ethics of the MetalMeet admins/moderators and use them to your hearts content.

2- Don't believe us and don't use them on the assumption that anything you write will be held against you or used for some other nefarious purpose.

3- If you are unsure how you feel, take two asprin and assume the worst.

4- Build a bigger metal hat to protect you from harmful thoughts and conversations...perhaps copper would be a better shielding material..... While you're at it, you should dig an underground house and line the exterior walls with lead.

Thanks Banzai.

My response to Pinky's posting would be that he is either dumber than the other moderators, or the BOD members of said site have not yet clued Pinky in on how to enable the feature so he too can look in on PMs between members over there.

I am fully able to prove that certain unnamed people at a certain unnamed metal site can and do view private messages between members, as they have been dumb enough to make specific references to some of the PMs I had with other members. I'll not disclose that information at this point in time or here as it will most likely come up in the future in another venue.

Back when I began to sense a certain level of hostility on an unnamed site, I took the precaution of saving all of my PMs that went across that site's facility. Currently I am looking into the financial situation of a certain unnamed 501 c3 corp and the members of the BOD of said site. This is not the time or place to discuss the future.

Jack, I went to a homier sales event once and picked up a little gravity feed paint sprayer for something like 12 bucks. It's junk. Everything they had was junk.

The threads on the inlet barb aren't tight enough to hold dope to hold air, let alone air without liberal dope. I'm certain they were cut too small or have an incorrect pitch. I'm going to epoxy the milton fitting on it and see how it works like that. All I've used it for is spraying water to see what kind of pattern it was capable of and how good of atomization it had.

Lets just say SATA and DeVillbiss have nothing to worry about. It should do well for sandable primer.

I won't be wasting any more time or gas driving out to the boonies where they hole up when they come around. Enco has better china and they have free shipping.

As for the moderators having access to your PM's. Here we don't, but that's because Caleb has not authorized us to.

Over on Metalillness - I was a moderator until the pissy little pricked site owner didn't like a convo me and another member were having about his inept mechanical design skills regarding his buggy suspension and then all of a sudden one day I wasn't a moderator anymore.

Any forum's admin has access to ALL data regarding the site. It's how being "god" works. Metalmeet is doing a disservice to its members by trying to blow smoke and deny that obvious fact of the web. I guess that just shows you how little they think of the collective brainpower of their membership.

JT I think Pinkey fully qualified himself to be a Democrap Presidential candidate with this line.
""However, playing devils advocate, if we were unethical enough to read PMs do you think we would be ethical enough to tell you????""

Hell they even misrepresent who is and who isn't a moderator.

I can easily understand why the founder walked away from that place.
