My friend wants to sell a HTP plasma cutter, Needs new tip but was cutting OK. What would be the size of metal it will cut and about what is it worth? Did I say it was a 250, hate to have to repeat!
http://www.htpweld.com/products/plasma_cutters/index.htmLooks like either an old model or maybe you got the name wrong?
I'd email HTP and ask them for the owners manual and what parts for it cost. Consumables can kill you on some of those machines.
HTP is the Eaton of welding equipment. Well, actually HTP is a hell of a lot better equipment than Eaton. Same marketing though, mostly marketed to farmers who don't have access to a LWS.
The machines are solid, made in Italy mostly, and support from the importer/brand is supposedly good.
There is also a solid backchanel for parts, pricing is probably better on the backmarket than direct thru HTP.
What the machine is worth is a difficult question. If the owner doesn't know the backdoor he is probably fed up with bleeding thru the eyes for consumables.
ePay might be an indicator of value.
Thank you ole wiseman! Always nice to hear from you. The guy wants 3oo for it! I thought I would buy it for one of my Boys as I wouldn't be able to see to use one but if the boy had one I could try it. My local welding supplier can't order consumables for it.
I'll send you a list of the backchanels if you buy it.
$300- is a bargain for the machine if it's the one I think it is. I'd definitely want to see it work though before forking over cash.
I'd put the information up here but there is no reason to make life easy for the unsavory people in the world like that bunch of scumsuckers on the MM site who call themselves administrators or the SlowFlushing Turds site.
