I've been listening to a random collection of lullabies I put together for my little peanut, and also the Sounds Like This album from Eric Hutchinson.

I've been feeling somewhat nostalgic for the unusual music I listened to in college. Now, it's not really unusual music - it's just music that most of my friends are unaware that I would listen to - let alone own!

Along with The Moody Blues' "Days of Future Passed" - I've been re-listening to Alice Cooper's "Welcome to My Nightmare" and The Alan Parsons Project's "Eve" and "Turn of a Friendly Card."

Yes, I turned 50 last November and I'm re-living my college days! It's a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Batty, good for you! Nostalgia is great. I've been thinking back to my college days too, but I've only been out for five years (in May.)

I've been listening to the Watchmen soundtrack a lot, esp. Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'

Right now I'm listening to 'Lennon Legend,' which is something I listened to in college alot.

I discovered the perfect song for Tommy & Mark's wedding - This Is My Song, as sung by Petula Clark. So I'm in this sort of easy listening, muzak sort of mood! Queen Latifah has two albums with this sound. Plus, there's always the classics of Rosemary Clooney, Judy Garland, Eartha Kitt, Liza (with a Z), Dusty Springfield, etc. And, yes, there are a few Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck classics! hehehehe

My sister emailed this to me, and I am not kidding when I say that it's the most beautiful song I can, at present, remember hearing. It's by Jon Schmidt, and it makes me want to share it with everyone, so, um, "hear" you go. |D

There is nothing as beautiful as an instrumental piece of music to: (1) lift you off your feet after a hard day at work, and (2) make you imagine a gentle breeze cooling you down when the temp is 90 at 6:00 pm!!!

THANK YOU for sharing!!!!

I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis - I'm listening to the B-52s again!!

"Not that that's a bad thing!"

I have no idea what music my mind is going to want next! Country, Alan Parsons Project, Annie Lennox, B-52s.
