((The Watchtower: Justice League Beyond is an AU roleplay that takes elements from Batman Beyond and mixes them with a more recent interpretation. The stage is set and the floodgates are open...))
The year is 2031. In the many years since Lex Luthor and Darkseid disappeared with the anti-life equation, the world has again grown more comfortable with the existance of the Justice League, even as it moves into the future with new members and new purpose.
The Watchtower was decommissioned in 2017, replaced instead by Metro Tower in Metropolis. From the ashes of the old, however, has arisen the new... a new Justice League, fighting for peace on Earth and in this galaxy.
Of course, times haven't been without their tragedies. Though the Flash, Wally West, went public with his identity in 2014, shortly after marrying long-time sweetheart Linda Park, their happiness was short lived. Linda passed away due to complications with breast cancer shortly after the birth of she and Wally's twins, Iris and Barry.
In 2028, several floors of the Daily Planet building collapsed, killing 63 people inside, one of which being Lois Lane-Kent, wife of Clark Kent - Superman. Clark staged a fake suicide and took on the identity of Kal El, the Last Son of Krypton, permanently, his son legally left in the care of the Wests in Keystone.
Derek Powers, partner in the merger to Wayne-Powers Enterprises, had a man by the name of Warren McGinnis murdered, leading his son Terry to seek out a way to avenge his death. This led him to the home of Bruce Wayne, the former Batman, who retired from his post after a heart attack forced him to use a gun to apprehend a crook. He stole the Batsuit, and through much convincing, finally got the older man to train him.
Despite the tragedies, it was from these tragedies that the Justice League rose again. Jason Kent became Superboy, Iris West became Kid Flash, Terry McGinnis became Batman, and they were similarly joined by others wanting to make a difference.
So welcome to the world in 2031... are you ready to take up the fight?
