((I'mma NPC Ollie briefly for this. XD))

Ah, home. Star City was truly a beautiful city, and Olivia did not regret having been brought up here. She lived with her parents still, being barely out of high school and currently attending college in the town proper, but it wasn't that bad a gig... at least when it came to her father. Her mother could be painfully strict.

After getting cleaned up and twisting her hair into a neat bun, Olivia examined herself in the mirror. "Devil in a little black dress," some may've said. It was a neat, tight fit, sleeveless and strapless, slit up to here on both sides (here). Convinced she looked her best, she slipped her feet into a pair of strappy heels, then trotted primly down the steps, doing her best to avoid...

"Olivia Dinah Queen! You get back in here this minute!"

Wincing slightly, the girl put on her best big, goo-goo eyes and slipped back into the sitting room with a serene, affectionate, true Daddy's Girl smile on her face. "Yes, Daddy?"

Oliver Queen, even in his sixties, was a formidable man. He was still fit, in the physical shape of a man nearly twenty years his junior, though his thick blond hair had grayed at the sides and back, and his beard and mustache were streaked as well. And he was eying his daughter sharply. "You are not leaving this house looking like that, young lady. Go change."

"Oh, Daddy." Slipping over, she crouched to give him a kiss on the cheek. "It's not that bad, and besides, Mom said I could borrow any of her dresses." Before he could retort, she stood straight again and headed quickly for the front foyer to wait. "Don't wait up for me!"

She could just hear her father calling that he wanted to meet this date of hers as she closed the door to the foyer. Too, too close...

Rex could have walked, really, he could have. But he rather have flown. It was also a good way to take out his stress and relax a little. He soared in the skies for a moment. Letting the breeze fly past him, on his wings, and through his hair.
He was actually wear a suit, a tie, and dress pants. He wanted to look good, out of fear he might find himself laying on his back again confused over how.

He came up to Olivia's house and swooped down in a graceful manner landing in front, where she had just stepped out. He looked at her for a moment.
The dress was well-formed on her, if anything, she was breathe-taking. Why in the world any would grace him with such a beauty to wish to go with someone like him, was, still hard for him to comprehend.
Though-- he was sure, this was just a game, wasn't it?

He stretched out his wings before tucking them behind him. "Olivia--" He started, but seemed to have a hard time finding the words, "You.. look.. amazing.."
He was sure any other guy would say that too-- ah, well.. he was never good at the whole word game anyhow.

"Why, thank you. It's old but it's still in perfect condition... my mother obviously didn't get her reputation as one of the world's most beautiful crimefighters for nothing." Olivia flashed him a grin, holding out her arms. "Mind if I could get a lift, big guy? Daddy is raving mad that I'm wearing this dress and the sooner we get to the restaurant, the better. I can give you directions."

He lifted her up in his arms with ease. Careful to not harm the dress in anyway or let it reveal any unneeded, well, revealing. He raises a brow slight, "Are you so sure you can navigate the skies?"
With a powerful flap of his wings and a leap to the sky. Rex took over into the air. Within only a few seconds, everything below seem to look so small compared to how it looked on the ground and he hovered in the air for a moment. His wings flapping and the wind blowing gently around them. "Alright, Olivia, where too?"

Rex wondered if she would say she liked it right up here, or if she would beg him to take her down lower. The skies was not home for many humans unless within a plane. Never this free and open.
He could actually never understand how many could like it in a can-opener with jet engines.

As soon as they were in the air, out of pure instinct, Olivia's arms shot around his neck, gripping carefully as if she, at first, feared she might fall. But in a few moments, her grip loosened, and she was looking down with the curiosity of a child, green eyes wide. "Oh my god." She was about breathless. "It's beautiful up here! Is this what it's like? Oh my god."

She completely forgot about his question for a few moments, reveling in the fact that she was currently quite high up, with only Rex's arms between her and plummeting to the streets of her beloved city. Then, after a moment, she gave a sheepish smile, peering up at him. "Oh! Right... it's a little restaurant called New Moon. On the corner of Seventh and Reynold... you can't miss it; it's an old bank they converted in the wealthy district."

Rex smiled as she realized the environment around them. He always wondered how a human with no flight would act to something so natural to him. Him and Jason that is. The two of them spent much time together in the air, horsing around and all that. Air-combat was always a fun thing, but-- Jason always had the advantage, he didn't have to flap.

"Wealthy district area hm?" He knew the area, he thought. "Lets make sure we don't get lost.." and before she could say another word to him. He swept his wings back and they swooped down to the city below. Air rushing by at high speeds. If she thought hovering was something, wait till she got a loud of this.

Like his name, Warhawk, he moved through the city's skyscrapers like that of a hawk going in for the kill. He had a good hold of Olivia, and he had very good control of his movements in the air. Though she add just a tad more wait for him, luckily, she was very light over-all, so it didn't effect him much.
He followed the road signs, going down lower and flying over the cars and the people that walked below. Nearly being a show-off perhaps to those below him. Before he pulled up slightly to avoid a low sign. Nearly chuckling to himself.
"Doing alright Olivia?" He asked, though keeping an eye on the horizon more so then on her.

He realized by this point that perhaps he was having to much showing off to her, his world of the skies, and being her first time, maybe it would be to much?
Surely, not for Olivia..

They were nearing the restaurant and Rex pulled back on the speed. He could only imagine that he might have messed up Olivia's hair or something with such a ride, but-- he couldn't help it.
After all, wind does have a nature to mess up anything lose and able to flow.

If he thought he had at all upset or frightened the young Black Canary, Rex was dead wrong. She was laughing giddily, her arms tight about his neck, and when they slowed down, she unwound her arms for long enough to gracefully tuck back her hair, looking as if it had never been ruffled.

"That was amazing!" she cried, smiling up at him. "You lucky duck, getting to do that all the time!"

Rex smiled softly as Olivia liked his little show of speed and grace. "I suppose I'm lucky." He remarked. His eyes softened a little.
Though these wings gave him an advantage over many, they also brought him trouble in his youth.
It was one of those things that gave him away as of what he was, and there was times in his youth-- he just wished he could have been normal, at least-- Jason was there.

He landed on the ground near the restaurant and placed her on the ground gently. "Well here we are, and perhaps after dinner-- I will give a better tour of my world." He remarked slightly glancing over to her with his green eyes.
His black wings tucked behind him once more, he started to walk, but not getting to far ahead of Olivia.

However, Rex, perhaps out of paranoia, had the strange feeling of being watched, not by Olivia-- but by others. Perhaps, it was nothing, but-- a feeling that was hard to shake at the moment.

Of course they were being watched. This was a man with wings showing up carrying quite possibly one of the most famous people in Star City.

But Olivia was quick to avoid any press, getting her arm around his and pulling him over to the old-fashioned stone building and inside before anyone could register a course of action. Smiling politely, she addressed the maitre'd. "Two under Olivia Queen, please?"

The maitre'd smiled, motioning for them to follow. "Of course, Miss Queen. Always a pleasure. If you'll follow me? How is Mayor Queen?"

"Same as always. Still active and ready for anything the city can throw at him."

She smiled pleasantly as they were shown to a private table in a softly lit back room, leaning forward against the table after she'd sat down. "Well?"

Rex just blinked a few times, before he sat down and looked at her, "..umm... well?" He wasn't sure what to say, outside of just stare.
He blinked a few more times and smiled lightly, "hehe.. I'm suppose to order, arn't I? Um-- hehe.."

"You've got a few minutes to look over the menu, feathers," Olivia teased gently, picking up her own menu.

After a moment or two - she had been here before and pretty much knew what she liked - she lowered the parchment and hard-stock pamphlet, peering at him over it, still smiling. "This was where Daddy took Mom on the first anniversary of the day he proposed to her... well, the time he proposed that she finally said yes, anyway." She smiled. "I thought it would be a good place to have a first date."

Rex looked over the menu and wasn't sure what to order. Most of this stuff-- was it even pronounceable? This was perhaps a bit higher class then he had been to before. Though, he was sure he figure it out.
He glanced over the menu, looking at her as she spoke and glancing back down at the menu. "Hm, I suppose it would be an interesting echo--" That-- perhaps wasn't the best way to put it.
He really needed to stop being so, nervous.

"Hey.. Olivia, what would you suggest.. on this menu?" He looked back up at her again. His green eyes looking slightly like a lost puppy dog.

At the look on his face, Olivia couldn't help but smile, lowering her menu so she could point at an item on it for him. "Here. The Pollo Erborato is very good. I'll be having the Salmone Alla Griglia con Salsa Verde myself. I promise, you won't be disappointed."

Rex nodded his head at her suggestion, though she was under age, he had to ask anyhow, "Any good with wine?"

He wasn't raised perhaps on the richest of things, but he did know about wine, and had it a few times. Boy curiosity and all, have to try out what father has, or mom, in any care, he would never say he never had a drink in his life, because he had tried a few in his early years of teen-hood.

"So says my parents," Olivia stated, grinning. "I'm not old enough to legally drink yet, remember?"

She pointed at the menu again, still smiling like a cat who'd just swallowed several of the proverbial canaries (no pun intended). "Daddy loves this one. The Far Niente Napa Chardonnay. I'd suggest going with that, as I've known him to have excellent taste in the past."
