The struggling Pens have decided to let Therrien take the blame and have him fired hoping to boost them into a playoff spot which they are currently 5 points behind.

I think it was the right move but I really don't think coaching was the main problem/concern, should boost the team's morale though.. Having Gonchar out has hurt them a lot, losing Malone and Hossa in the offseason hurt them, and yes coaching played a part but wasn't the reason in my opinion why they are where they are. To me Crosby isn't a leader, he's a bitch with a C on his jersey that stands for Crosby, not Captain. They need some leadership in the locker room, real leadership.

Could be a big help now that Gonchar is back still a good team so we'll see if its the right decision.
