| QUOTE (EuLoGY @ Feb 9 2009, 01:02 AM) | | You know, Being from Detroit, I know how important Hockey is to Canadians. When i see a Canadian team stuggling like the Sens are this season i really feel for their fans. This wasnt the type of year anyone was expecting from Ottawa. |
Agreed (Even though I'm not in a "hockey city" you could say).
I feel for the Toronto fans the most though. At least the Sens went to the cup a couple years ago, I don't even know the last time Toronto made it to the playoffs off the top of my head. At least the Chicago fans will have something to cheer about this year, it's been what 10 years or more since they've made the playoffs. The only thing that sucks about that is they're in our division haha. And what upsets me primarily (about Nashville) is we only sell out against Detroit, Chicago, and every playoff game. I always try to figure out where all these Predator fans are at during the regular season, it isn't like there's tons of things to do around here (tourism wise there is if you're into country music) but once you live here you sometimes forget we're fucking Music City USA. I feel sorry for Atlanta though, putting the Thrashers there was a big mistake. Same for the Panthers. Everytime I watch one of their home games I hardly see any fans in the stands. At least for a southern hockey club (imo) we're doing quite well. But not as well as we should be, the Titans have sold out more than 100 consecutive home games. So you can definitely tell who most the city pulls for.
