I'm passing through a "Gerry Anderson" phase of appreciation, so consequently I'm going to nominate the new-style Thunderbird One as my current favourite CGI ship. In all honesty, I think the late Derek Meddings would have appreciated it. The newer model just seemed more in line with the design brief of a faster-than-the-fastest scout and rapid-reaction craft.  |

I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Pegasus class mobile suit carrier seen in various forms throughout the Gundam franchise, though the newest one, Archangel, is by far the sleekest. I couldn't find any good screens of the CG ship from Gundam Seed, but it looks pretty sweet in the series all cel-shaded CG and stuff. Plus the ablative gel thing for re-entry is just cool.
 My other favorite just on looks and totally not on practicality is the Nirvana from Vandread. Of course, all the mecha and stuff in that series is just friggin' sexy CG. Couldn't find a really good pic of the Nirvana, but I've got two decent pics:   All shiny and pretty.... It's absolutely gorgeous in the anime =p |
