My Lovely Idea!, Roaming Band

Yay! My amazing idea..

A while ago myself and some others I can't remeber who, were discussing setting up a roaming band of brigands! Rather then having just one "haunt" we would roam the lands, living out of caves, or camps in the forest, taverns sometimes or old buildings. Would never spend too long close to anyone City. Now.. just kinda throwing it on the table, but I think something like that could be pretty cool, as we don't need guild halls or anything as its all done by the guild button now.

We could actually set up camps, throw down a few crates, put up some other bits, we would need to mantain and look after the camps of course, but I just think it could be diffrent and fairly funky, stay in a cave for a week or two near Brit lets say, then move into a tavern in a slightly less well guarded town.. then set up camp a camp in the forest near Trisnic. When we are in the area, we can concentrate on making ourselves known in said area.

Discuss really I guess, a viable idea?

I guess in many ways that's how we do opperate. Skara makes an easy meeting place and I like the idea of seedy occupation of a dock town taverns. The Caste have always been a little bit urban and dark I suppose, compared to Robin Hood style bandits.

That said I do really like this idea. I think it encourages activity and also people to roleplay with you. We can be the undesirables, the pykies of the UO world. Starting some time in the next few days, we'll try taking ourselves to Vesper and setting up a "travellers" camp somewhere, those old ruins might make a good spot actually. Get a camp-fire, a few chests / crates and go on some pillaging raids up to Cove, Vesper and the surrounding areas. I'll look into it. I like it.

What do the rest of you think?

It's a great idea I know have been brought up by many guilds over the years. I say it's time we put it to try.
Im sure everyone would like to give it a go in an OOC point of view.
IC however I know for certain that Aela wont fancy sleeping on a bedroll in a damp cave as she is FAR to high up for that. And when given alternatives she would rather go for the luxurious one *winks*

Should we however for some IC reason be forced to do it I'd gladly play along. BUT you'd just have to accept Aela being a complete bitch about it. Aela is probably one of the more "misfit" persons in the Black Caste due to her race and magical abilities. So please expect her often opposing thoughts and ways everyone else finds normal.
And ofcourse, I just like to state out that I, myself, aint doing this to be a bitch. It's all in Aela, and I do it for the flavour in RP. =)

I have no problem with anyone's IC personalities being conflictive. There's a lot of angry, miserable nutcases in the Caste. As long as you're not refusing to co-opperate and get involved OOC then it's cool. So don't worry, bud'.

I like the idea but Dirk won't be to pleased either, he's very much a city guy, likes his luxuries. Some of the earlier members may remember just how fed up he was with having to hide in Yew. No reason why you can't try it though.
