Aela had been in one of her usual dark moods last night. She found no ease in rest nor in her studies which brought her out for a stroll through the somewhat bustling town of Skara. Walking down the streets she could see events taking place around every corner. Shady deels were holding criminals at bay with eachother in every alley, even so in the open. Aela could overhear conversations as she passed groups of misfit individuals with ragged clothings and nervous looks of distrust. In between every curse and cough were words that surely would make officials from any other town juggle their guardsmen. But not here.... no.... Skara sure was a Haven from every turn and look Aela could take. Law was slowly loosing grasp here like an unseen colour of the spectrum, a scale of grey down to the darkest of black where murder were being commited on a daily basis.
All in all, Roisin had chosen a well suited location for their base of operations. Already that woman seemed to have her hands on a few facilities, running them.
Not familiar with this town yet, Aela paced on down the streets. Faces turned to look at her with emotions of waryness, anger, even a few of curiosity. Her racial trait together with rich attire and posture did not mix in very well with these petty commoners. Most of them stopped in what they were doing just previously and turned to look at her as she gracefully walked by. Silence made it's way with her, the only real sound to be heard were the metallic tap of her staff touching the ground every other step. Far ahead of her in the street a larger group of people had come together in what seemed to be a circle. Backs facing outward the ring there seemed to be a wild discussion going on between them. Although their clothes and armour were washed out and torn, the colours were united. A gang Aela thought for herself as every calm step brought her closer.
Her presence had been revealed while she still were several feet away from them. The circle was dissolved and they moved to block the somwhat narrow streetway. A large any heavily muscled man, quite tanned and dark hair making it's way down his head, pushed his way through the others and placed himself infront of her path. He wore the same washed out colours as the others. The cocky grin slowly making itself noticable over his scarred face as Aela got closer by the second conveyed a confidence about himself, a confidence of a man who knew what to do to a woman much smaller and tender than him. Their champion perhaps, Aela though with amusement. He stood his ground right in front of her, slowly folding his arms flexing them on purpose. The men behind him grinned, a few chuckled at his play.
With just a few feet left between them now the tall and muscled man chuckled heartily and began to speak in a heavy accent, as if his tounge had been cut out and then stitched back upside down.
"Well well well... mmm... Wha'do we have 'ere then...?"
He eyed her up and down as he spoke looking very pleased.
"How bout we....aahh!! auurrghr!"
Faster than he had reacted, something bright and definately very hot smashed into his face with a minor explosion of flames. The impact knocked him backwards and he crashed to the ground heavy as a rock, his hands now grasping a smeared and smoking face. The other men around had from standing in the middle of the road in a mere second pressed themself tightly to the housewalls on either side. A few were already scurring away like rats. Having decided it was HER path, Aela began walking over the downed and groaning man. Her light feet balancing playfully over his mass, making sure a well placed step trampled his crotch. In his agony of groans he managed to groan some extra right there. As she passed his face she could smell burned flesh, and she wrinkled her nose with narrowed eyes.
The others were dead quiet as they watched her walk away in her calm manner. Until she was a few more feets away they rushed over to the sides of the fallen and looked at him with both confusion and amazement.
"Aarr!! Bitch!! I will get yah! Ye juss wait yeh lil whore!! Aagh! I'll cut ye te pieces!!"
Aela could not help but to smile as she made her way back to the tavern. A perfect place for a woman like Roisin to grow her numbers.
This was not a bad place at all....
