Those are some beautiful pictures Chuck. From the looks of it you hunted in some great places. Some great memories of places that will always be yours.
Did you have any luck on that trip?

Nope!! Nothing!!

It was an elk pack in trip. We got to hunt one full day and on the 2nd day we woke up to a major snow storm and were forced to pack up and walk the 8 miles back out. When we arrived at the base motel from where we started they were giving us that day to get back and were preparing to send a search and rescue team up the mountain in the morning. So I guess you could say we had some luck/divine leading on that trip. Great memories for sure.

Sure sounds like a trip you wun't forget. There's always some great memories . From just being out there. When you score it's a bonus, icing on the cake. Nice to have, but not absolutely needed.

Thanks, Chuck. Those are some beautiful pic's. The second to last one looks like it could have been taken right here at, Linville Cove Viaduct. Nothing compares to the beauty of a mountain range. thumbs_up.gif

You can't beat Colorado for beautiful mountains. Over 60 peaks over 14,000 feet..Course now that I think of it I'll have to check and see what the elevation is at the town/city level..Denver is about the same as Butte here but our mountains here are only about 10,000 feet...

Yes, the mountains are beautiful. Here, what they call mountains are usually under 3000 feet in height, but beautiful just the same.

Isn't Denver the Mile high city 5280'

And if I remember right they have a term for 10,000' I think it "Timberline" or "Treeline" or something like that. The air is thinner, climate is colder and trees have a hard time growing above 10,000'.
