Title: Canada Pike fishing
Chuckgrmi - February 28, 2010 06:22 PM (GMT)
I have watched episodes of fishing at Hanson's Hideaway Lodge on "The Wilderness Journal" TV program here in Michigan. Todays episode showed them catching 100 pike. "In one day"
So... The day after this Dumb MS leaves my body...I'm headed North across the border with rod and reel
Here are a couple of short videos from the past

Yes Sir, I'll have to agree. Pike is one of the best tasting fish out there. A little harder to fillet, but worth the trouble.
And, Chuck, when that dumb, MS, finally leaves you're body, I'm going to drive out there and fish with you. You can take that to the bank, my friend.

Leep Who!!
AFarCry - February 28, 2010 08:49 PM (GMT)
LOL! Don't worry Leep, I think Montana will be included in that road trip... Northern, that's good stuff and we've got some in the fridge that Riley brought home yesterday. We usually grind it anymore and make fish patties. Similar to salmon patties with hot lemon butter poured over them. Yum!
Sure would be fun to feel one on the other end of the rod again. Someday...

Pike Patties sure sound good to me...

Don, Chuck, I'm certain that someday both of you, WILL, feel that tug on the end of your line once more. You are two of the most determined people I know. I always say, ''especially to myself,'' ''Don't you give up, don't you, Ever, give up.'' The doctors told me that I would never walk again without the use of a walker. Ha, fooled them. And thats just what you two will do.

Thanks Kenny. Sometimes we need to hear that.

Kenny has it right. That's for certain.
Those were fine videos. I usually watch the show but he sometimes goes back to the same place several times (and catches the same fish, I think :D ) so I don't always pay close attention. That pike was cleaned the same way that I do them, although that gentleman did it better and faster. My neighbor brings his pike to me for cleaning and some of them even stay here :o

I am with you Ridge.
I would like to see him spend more time in Michigan but if he is going to leave the state. I would like to see him hunt and fish different places.
Sounds like you got a good deal with your neighbor.

Kyle has nearly lost that show on at least one occasion if not more. I believe his repetition and lack of MI shows may have cost him support but . . .
I miss Fred Trost. Lot of folks did not like his controversy or how to stuff, but I thought he was genuine, did MI stuff, and kept it interesting.
