I thought I had one a few days ago because my net connection was dropping a lot… and all the symptoms suggested a virus. But I was told it was probably because of the big storms getting into the phone cables underground and screwing it up…

I don't usually go on the net at home, cuz my parents don't let me know the password, but we haven't had a virus since putting on Zone Alarm Pro (trial version)

virus protecton huh? ha.. i love gettin viruses so i can kill em ninja.gif makes things fun

BUT for protection i have the following:
Notron Internet Security (includ Live Updates and Instant attacker alert)
Visualbasic Pro
Adaware Pro
Spy Bot S&D
ummmmm
oh and the Windows Firewall and Norton Firewall

so as you can tell, havnt got any viruses in a while.. tongue.gif not even the 2 cases of the MS.Blaster or anything! (even tho my whole school went down and heaps of my mates computers)

DarkFalcon,
you stupis stupid STUPID bastard.. tongue.gif
its not a good idea to be using the Net WITHOUT protection.. sorry to say. by know you could have nearly every trojan and spyware under the sun! sad.gif .

anyone here aswell with service pack 2 aswell? i got it right here on CD.. but i have heard it can cause some "cracked" microsoft programs not to work once installed... that tru you think?

i know im doubble posting but i thought id let u guys know this aswell.

Three new variants of the Beagle worm (also known as "Bagle") were unleashed last week, according to security vendor Symantec.

Symantec said the latest iterations of the mass-mailer worms include W32.Beagle.AV@mm, W32.Beagle..AU@mm and W32.Beagle.AW@mm.
A Symantec security alert said the new Beagle worms spread through file-sharing networks and open a backdoor on TCP port 81. They affect systems running Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.

The new Beagles are each Category 3 threat-level viruses, according to Symantec, which has them listed as the current top virus threats.

Complete details and remediation procedures can be found at Symantec's website.

watch out yall! even more if u still use Kazaa, Klite and Limewire

It's not good to do 'anything' without protection. But we all do it anway.
