Four months after this article was sent out by owl to a few registered Hogwarts students, the writer, Melissa Haventhought, had her arm run over with a muggle car. By appearances, Demyan and the Death Eaters had nothing to do with it - if they had, she would have been murdered, brutally and publicly, as a warning for anyone else who dares to challenge their reign. But this wasn't the end; in fact, this letter was the beginning of the Revolution. The streets of London, England, and Cannes, France are now safe for both muggles and wizards; though, transportation is difficult and entry is blocked to many purebloods who aren't Renegade members. The muggles living in internment camps have found ways to communicate with the outside world - though, there is never a way for them to know if they are a Death Eater or a Renegade member. It is very risky, but many muggles have tried it and succeeded to get their story published. Through this, the Wizarding public has heard stories about what this muggle internment is like.
The muggle who wrote this article, Victoria Bourne, died a year later from an unknown illness, still living in the same (if not worse) conditions than when she wrote it. It is now 1977, and Hogwarts is about to open its doors to students for the first time since 1973. Many of the students were tutored privately while the school was down and under Death Eater control, and will come back to the year they would have been in if the school was never closed. Some, unfortunately, will have to start over where they left off. Albus Dumbledore will restate his position as the school's headmaster, and has promised to insure safety to all students who attend his school. This year, the Marauders, three of which have already become Renegade members, will begin their seventh and final year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When a writer for the Hogwarts Herald asked Dumbledore about the state of the world, and what could have been done to prevent it, he replied solemnly, "Je ne regrette rien." uncompleted & unopened, but i figured i'd give you guys a heads up. it's gonna be amazing, pretty much. if any of you join, i'd be glad to give you a spot as an admin. <3 |
