    character b a s i c s

Full Name: Winford Mitchell Clark
Nickname: Goes by Win. Do not ever call him Winford or Winnie under pain of death.
Age & Birthdate: 16; May 22
Blood Status: Of mixed descent.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.
Alliance: Strongly for The Order.

Canon or Original: Original
Preferred House: Hufflepuff
    the o u t s i d e

Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Height & Weight: 5’6”, about 150 lbs.
Body Type: Thin
Notable Traits: A small scar, about a quarter of an inch long below his right thumbnail from a cat scratch.

Brief Description of Appearance:
“I wouldn’t say there’s anything remarkable about me. Honestly, I consider myself pretty generic in the looks department. My face is kind of long; my nose is straight and not crooked or anything and the rest of my features are pretty normal. My eyes are that less-than-dynamic brown you see everywhere, and my hair is exactly the same color. Some people might think my average looks are unfortunate, but I’ve never really been the one to call attention to myself for any reason and am quite pleased that I don’t have stunning good looks, as long as I don’t look like I’ve been run over by a train.

“I’m a pretty thin guy, as well as pretty short, the one aspect of my appearance I’m uncomfortable with. I’m only 5’6”, which is frustrating, but I’m hoping I just haven’t hit my growth spurt yet. However, it’s unlikely, as my father is nearly as short as I am and from the pictures I’ve seen of my mother she was no Amazon. Some days I can reach up to about 5’8” when I’m having a good hair day and haven’t cut it for a while; its unruliness is to my advantage here, though at this point Mel nags me until I do cut it. I don’t have huge muscles like a bodybuilder, something I think would look pretty odd on a guy my size, but it’s also probably because I’ve never been that into sports.”

Patronus: A Merino Land Sheep

Brief Description of Personality:
“I don’t really seek to impress anyone; I’ve always been pretty laid back. I’ve never felt the need to be flashy or glamorous in any way. Being myself is what works for me, and if someone doesn’t like it, well, that’s their problem, not mine. I don’t really care what people think of me. I’m generally a patient person and good at dealing with people, and I’ve been told I’d make a good doctor or teacher some day. I try to be as sensible as I can, and I hate it when people argue, and for this reason many of my friends come to me as a peacemaker. I guess you could say I’m a born diplomat. I’d like to think I have a well-developed sense of justice. I don’t anger easily, and I don’t hold grudges; it doesn’t make sense to me to do so, and people deserve second chances.

“I may be pretty passive and non-violent, but that’s not to say I never get fired up about anything. If I’m interested in something, I put my whole heart into it; if I feel there’s an injustice, I dispute it, albeit in a calm manner. My sister tells me that sometimes I’m absolutely fascinated by the smallest things, but I just attribute it to seeing the best in everything, including people. I never hide anything from anyone; honesty is the best policy, after all, and people can’t blame you for telling the truth. Even if I wanted to hide something, I couldn’t; I’m a terrible liar and my face is like an open book with my exact emotions on display. You can practically read the thoughts scrolling across it. I always say exactly what I think anyway, so I guess it’s not much of a setback, but I try to be as nice as possible, especially when the truth may hurt.

“I’m very close to my family and friends, and – as some would say – fiercely loyal. I don’t have many problems with life, in fact, I quite enjoy it. I just love living, as well as kids and animals. I try to be very polite, and I respect everyone. Unfortunately, this often means I get taken advantage of easily, because I trust people. I’ve been called adaptable, and while I don’t quite know what that means, I think it has something to do with the fact that I welcome change. I try to take what life has to give and make something of it, whether it’s good or bad. I’m very friendly, a people person, and I like to think I’m an approachable guy. I’ve never been a genius, though. I really enjoy learning and work hard at it, but it seems I just don’t have that natural capacity for intelligence. I never saw myself as a Ravenclaw, anyway.”

Hometown: Liverpool, England
Family: Mother – Alexandria Baughman Clark [deceased]; Father – Winford Adam Clark; Sister – Melody Clark

Brief Description of History:
“I was born on a rainy day in 1979 Liverpool – at least, I’m assuming it was a rainy day, most days in Liverpool are – to happy couple Adam and Lexi Clark. I can’t tell you much about how I spent my days, though it was probably mostly comprised of eating, sleeping, crying, and other baby-like things. Eleven months later, my little sister Melody was born. I’m told we bonded instantly, and I believe it. Mum was in The Order, but Dad decided to stay home with us kids so that we’d always have someone. Which turned out to be a good idea when my mother was murdered by angry Death Eater Antonin Dolohov on May 22, 1781. My second birthday. I don’t remember much about her, so I haven’t been emotionally scarred or anything of the sort, but my dad was ripped apart. If not for a few good friends, I shudder to think about where we would have ended up.

“He moved on, and so did we, functioning as normal as a family can with a single parent. My sister and I were inseparable throughout my childhood years. I’m very close to Mel, every bit the overprotective big brother. This led to the first time I did magic – at the age of eight, Mel wandered off in Diagon Alley, and worried out of my mind, I managed to apparate her to me. Even though we expected the Hogwarts letter to arrive, when it did, we parted reluctantly. She joined me a year later, but was sorted into a different house. We branched out and made new friends, but we’re just as close as ever.”
