R U L E S .

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:
    001. If you are going to register and fill out an application, please be ready to commit to the site. We expect two to three IC posts per week. If you are going to be gone, post in the absences board. Inactive accounts will be cleaned out once per month. If your account is deleted, you may rejoin in one week's time.

    002. Register using your internet alias IN LOWERCASE. Nothing offensive, please, and make sure it's a name that you don't mind everyone knowing you by.

    003. Please take the time to read the plot and rules carefully. Every rule that you break will give you a warning, and on your third warning in the same area of fault, you run the risk of being banned from the site.

    004. If you reserve a character on the canon list, you will have exactly one week to complete your application and be guaranteed that character if you are accepted. After that week is over, we will be accepting all applications for that particular character. If someone completes their application before you complete yours, there is a chance that we might accept them first.

APPLYING & POSTING:
    001. Fill out the application based on the era that you want your character to be in: Past, Present, or Future. You may post your application before it is completed, but if it remains untouched for ten days, it will be closed and moved to the Saved Threads board. Applications will be judged by the Admins, and will be sorted or denied within one week. Please do not post anywhere else (with the exception of the C-Box) until you are accepted.

    002. This is an advanced roleplaying site. We expect two or more paragraphs in a reply. Writer's block is understandable, but absolutely no one-liners are accepted. In turn, please make it as easy as possible for people to reply to your post. Even if your character isn't the social butterfly, they should at least do something in every post that the opposite character can react to.

    003. Currently, Lux et Veritas does not have a set rating. This means that swearing, violence, etc. is acceptable. Any thread above an R rating should be tagged, and failure to do so will result in a warning. It is acceptable on the site, but there are members who don't want to see it. Explicit sexual content should be minimal, however, and in such situations it is best to fast-forward for the purposes of the thread. You are free to move that part of your roleplay to PM if you'd like.

    004. STAY IN CHARACTER. This is for canons specifically, but original characters will not always be overlooked. If an Admin thinks that you are not roleplaying your character the way you described in your application, you will receive a PM. If the behavior continues, you run the risk of being replaced with someone more capable.

    005. Keep to the era. Remember the different style of clothes, music, and even phrases. This isn't necessarily as prevalent in the Chit-Chat board, because that is there to help create relationships between characters and isn't taken as seriously.

IMAGES:
    001. No nudity or offensive images, please. The rule is, don't post anything on this site that you wouldn't hang up on your wall for your mother and grandma to see.

    002. All play-bys must be of an actual person. No anime, drawings, or cartoons allowed, and also, please remember your character's era. Don't get me wrong, I adore Audrey Kitching, but she doesn't quite fit in Marauder's Era-Hogwarts, does she? Once you've found yourself a play-by and have been accepted, be sure to reply in the face claim.

    003. Signatures may not stretch the boards. If you've got a character-making obsession (*coughREDcough*), do what you can to make sure you can fit the icons of all of your character in your signature without stretching the board. Avatar size is 100x100. If your images do not meet these requirements, and Admin will PM you and ask you to change the size of them.
