While I respect your post and applaud your research and agree to an extent. Quite literally, the events I witnessed as a member of the Dark Circle were so frightening and so real, that one would have to question if there is true darkness and true evil. |

Implanted ideas and placebo can sometimes seem more real than what is deemed 'reality'.

It has often been said that perception is reality. I do not believe this to be true. Reality is what can be seen, felt, and touched. What I have seen has been frighteningly real. That is not to say the incidents were real, however, my perception of them is that they were indeed real, but we will never know. Which ponders the question of whether or not there is a heaven and a hell. That of course leaves room for speculation and interpretation, which is important. Remember, we pray to someone, but when its said and done, its really all the same, with just a different name. After all if everything is black and white, what would we have to talk about? The next Rugby score? No, life is too important for that. |

So you don't believe what we perceive in reality, but what we seen feel and touch (in other words, what we perceive) is? It is indeed a bit of a shame that your current turn in this character is to simply make contradictions in all your statements. -------------------- |

You appear to read between the lines and not understand my full ideals. Its a shame really. After all, we are the strongest ones, we are the last in line. There are two eyes from the east, they are the angel or the beast, and the answer lies between the good and bad. We do search for the truth, yes, we can die upon the truth. But , you must keep in mind, that the thrill of just the chase is worth the pain. |

I see. What relevance does that have?

No doubt an encrypted message.
I believe he doesn't wish for us to understand this 'wisdom' he's so nobly trying to impart on us. -------------------- ![]() |

Encrypted message? No, though I did dabble in cryptography during my tenure in the Queen's Navy. Think about it. We are the strongest ones, the choice of good and evil resides in each one of us. Which do you choose? You don't need to go somewhere to pray, you can pray inside yourself and get the same results. Remember, we pray to someone, but when its said and done, its really all the same, with just a different name. |

In a probably far off the target stab in the dark here, reality is what we make it, and if it seems real to you then who are we to question it?
We're all believing in the same thing just under different illusions? Perhaps in trying to hard I'm clouding my judgement. Though I think I understand what you're saying. -------------------- ![]() |

I don't, but oh well. I believe reality is reality, and whether we perceive it correctly is a matter for someone else to decide. However, the way I perceive things is the only reality I shall ever know, so it matters little whether what we perceive is real or merely an illusion.

If a substantial amount of people were sure that something was real, would you be able to disprove them?
What would you define 'reality' as? Would you have to see it, touch it and feel it to be sure it's real? It's said that atoms exist and are a part of reality, but can you truly agree with the majority despite having not seen, touched or felt one? Reality is only as you perceive it. -------------------- ![]() |

Horton Hears a Who. Think about it. We're Here! We're Here! We're Here! But were they really there, or just something Horton thought he heard in the speck of dust? |

Since you can't technically prove or disprove anything to be real, your first question is rather pointless. I would define reality as anything that is real. I know that's a circular definition, but I cannot find any better way to put it. To me, reality is what it is, no more. However, since there is no way to prove that what we experience is reality, our perceptions may not be reality, but we won't ever know anything different so that is as close as we can get. Atoms are simply exceedingly small pieces of matter, and are, to my mind, classified with all other things as part of my perceptions/reality. -------------------- |

And again, we could be just be a speck of dust in some other solar system. |
