The soft sound of the waves was very relaxing and it made him forget about how his day had went so far. It probably would have went ten times better if he wouldn't have had to deal with the fact that there was no way his younger brother would come out of his room. His parents were worried about him, his younger sister and brother were worried about him, even he was worried about him. Ryan just wouldn't come out it made him wonder if Ryan even came out at night to eat or anything. He had considered staying up in his room just to listen and see if there was a chance that Ryan snuck out of the room he was in to eat and do whatever. It hurt to know that every time Ryan and him ended up being in the same room Ryan would leave he just didn't trust him anymore and hadn't for almost two years. He'd never done anything to make him lose that trust but apparently something had gotten into Ryan's head and made him into a monster that couldn't even be in the same room with him, let alone talk to him. At least once everyday he would wish that he could have his brother back people had told him to give it time but how much time did he really need to figure out that somebody was not a thing to be afraid of.
Of course he knew that it wasn't just him that Ryan was afraid of, since he was basically afraid of every person he encountered. Besides his younger sister, but Sasha didn't really tell him what Ryan and her talked about. He figured that it was for the best but still he was slightly annoyed that he would talk to her and not to his older brother. What did she have that he didn't? Was it just that he was never really around since he had been off with sports or off with friends. Even as he thought about that he knew it wasn't the answer since Sasha was probably gone just as much as he was. Perhaps the world may never know the answer to that, maybe it was just Ryan's decision to talk to her instead of him due to some very subtle thing such as Sasha was shorter than he was. While he was about four inches taller than him but how could that be an answer? Did Ryan think that he wouldn't understand him, if that was the case then he was wrong there. He'd try his best to try and understand but he knew that there would be certain things that he wouldn't really be able to understand since he hadn't been there when the accident had happened, nobody had except for Ryan and the drunk driver who had caused it all.
Ryan had been jogging down the road when out of nowhere a drunk driver hit him and left him for dead. Somebody had found him and he had then been taken to the hospital. At the time he'd been up in his room studying for a test when his parents came up there and told him the news. They had said that it was best for him to stay home and not go to the hospital with him since his younger sister and brother were still sleeping. Of course he knew that they wouldn't wake up and that his parents just didn't want him to go along with them and see Ryan in the state that he was in. It had taken him two weeks to convince his parents to let him go with them and what he had saw there had shocked him more than anything. It hadn't scared him like his parents thought it would it had just been one of those moments when they had forgotten that he was the oldest child, at fifteen years old. It had been really odd to see Ryan just laying there, looking completely lifeless while he was connected to a ton of different machines. Once everything had been over and Ryan was back at home he'd became disconnected with the world and things had been that way ever since. The past two years had been very hard for him and only a few friends had known how hard things really were for him. They never had to go though literally losing their brother.
About two weeks ago his parents had told him that they were going to move and that they had already bought a home. They'd moved here about a week ago and he'd just been so busy doing things around the house that he really hadn't gotten the chance to go out. Of course, the time that he actually had went out since there hadn't been anything he needed to do he had ran into Branden. Well, not really ran into him but they both just happened to be jogging down the same street. It was rather weird the way they both had just seemed to connect with each other and it was almost like talking to his best friend from his old town in a way. Branden was actually the first person who had known about Ryan and he hadn't bothered him about his brother witch was a good thing. He couldn't stand it when people kept questioning him about Ryan. His eyes wandered over to the waves that were hitting the beach, today he'd basically been all alone. Although right now he could really use some company.
