Sustainable Frome has a management team known at the Core Group. It has been discussing how to expand the organisation, what are its core values and how the legal and financial requirements will be handled in the future. It presented proposals to Sustainable Frome at the June 09 monthly meeting. The current CIC will be dissolved in July 09 and the Core Group will take over the functions of the CIC.

Current members are;
Sarah Hillman, Alex Hart, Chris Smaje, Katy Duke, Sheila Gore & Tricia Golinski.

If you would like to join the group please contact us on info@sustainablefrome.org.uk

Minutes of the first meeting are attached.

I would like to propose that the 'business' of the core group, its structure, plans for the future etc. be presented in written form at the meeting and leave people to ask for more information rather than the other way round.

I appreciate that your idea is to be as democratic and representative as possible, so why not ask members if they wish to hear about what you are doing? For myself, I think the monthly meetings need to be above all inspiring and inviting guest speakers, showing films, reading poems, having open space, world cafe structures with action plans where appropriate, is for me the way forward.

The Core Group decided to introduce themselves to the whole meeting and get a flavour for feelings about ways forward. They don't plan to do anything similar unless it is requested but as it was such a major change it seemed like a good idea.

Sorry it was a bit boring :( We have had very productive meetings over the last six weeks and the formal handover happens very soon.

Revisions to the CIC objectives and mission will be issued shortly..... watch this space. :D

... see HERE for details.
