Thanks very much for arranging this meeting Caroline. I think we all came away from it feeling much more positive about things in general.

Attached is the 2nd draft of Transition Somerset’s Low-Carbon Economy Transition Plan with a few updates from our meeting today. At this early stage this is a strategic document from which detailed implementation plans hopefully can evolve and therefore it is very much a work in progress that could form a basis for discussion in conjunction with the Mapping document that Dan was commissioned by SCC to produce. We need to distil from both documents what needs to be done locally that is realistic and achievable and how scarce resources can best be allocated.

Anyone can contribute to this document that I will be maintain so if you have anything you wish to add then please let me know. If there is sufficient interest in further developing this document, I may put it on the web for joint / shared development of it. This is just the first step in what could be an iterative process with many revisions as the details emerge.

Please feel free to circulate this to SCC participants in the meeting today.

With best wishes,
Alex Malcolm – Transition Somerset
