Please take a look at the Local Transport Plan for Frome, which has been drawn up by the Transport Group to identify key areas where improvements are needed to help people in Frome to travel in sustainable ways. These cover: improvements to the bus and train service, 20mph zones, improved walking and cycling routes, the development of a continuous circular walking route around the town and safer places to cross our busy roads.
Please also come along to the launch of the Transport Plan on Saturday 4th July 2009 at 10.30am at the top of Bath Street. The junction at the top of Bath Street is an awful and dangerous place to cross and making it safer is one of our priorities in the local transport plan. Just turn up on foot or with a bicycle, buggy, pram or wheelchair if you have one. With the help of the police the top of Bath Street will be closed to enable a photograph to be taken as walkers and cyclists briefly reclaim the road space.
