Mertz Apartment House The building is a four-story re-converted brownstone with sixteen full apartments linked by an antedated boiler system for heat and air-conditioning. One of the better apartment houses in its day, it was already starting to fall into decline in the Late Sixties. The Reserve at Holbrook Known for its large and extravagant mansions, the Reserve at Holbrook is filled with the oldest families of Medford. Many of the houses in this area have been in the families of its owner(s) for several generations. It was one of the first residential communities, and has all different types of houses.
