- Personality -
Altair is a controlling, maniplulative, self centered being. His ego is easily matched by the Goa'uld and yet is usually worse. He he tends to take controll of people via corruption and lies. His hatred towards the Goa'uld make his behaviour unpredictable and very dangerous. Despite all his bad attributes, he is also a very serious person, trust worthy and is always available to help friends when in need..... for a price...

- Detailed History -
From a fairly young age Altair had always been a very strong individual. Always being there for others when they needed him most, he was deeply respected for this. After finishing school with the very best results, many of his family and friends were shocked to see that he had decided to join the military. This ad also shocked the military themselves. No matter how much and how many people tried to talk him out of it, he just shrugged it all off and ignored what anyone said. It was his decision and no one was going to tell him otherwise. For the first year of joining, he maintained a perfect appearance and moved into the area of engineering. Needless to say he also became one of the best technicians they had ever seen. Altair had a great part in working on The Interdictor including upgrading most of their vessels with cloaks and double shielding. After three years of service to his country civil war broke out among their world. The world had been torn completely in two; Altair’s side was called Latreya (like the home world) whereas the other side took the name of Nalredia. Both sides were technologically advanced; they had never had any upsets with other races because of this.

But the Goa'uld took their chance in the civil unrest. After mere hours of the fighting had begun both sides launched all the missiles they had including all ships. Altair was one of the commanders and was first sent up to aid in the battle. Never in his lifetime did he expect to see this. He knew it would happen eventually but not this soon. Within days the entire planet had been critically damaged. Many people had escaped through the Stargate and most were attempting to escape via ships but the Goa’uld blockade was too well planned out. Nothing was making it through and nearly everything destroyed. Every city and town had been leveled. Altair was one of the few people who managed to escape the ground bombardment. He and ten of the very best technicians and pilots went with him in The Interdictor and fought through most of the blockade with seven of the finest ships ever built. Two of them left as the evacuation order was given. The other Five had been fatally damaged. Many people died during the attack on those ships.

At this time Altair had no option but to follow the orders given and leave. Just as he did so he saw Three of the Five explode and hatred ran through him. Once they had left Latreya, the rendezvous point was full with the remaining ships and last of a civilisation. Twelve ships in total had managed to leave the planet before destruction and only four of these were Latreyan. The Nalredians had not taken part in the fight and instantly fled although most of their forces were wiped out in the first wave. Even more arguments broke out and the Nalredians departed leaving the remaining ships alone. Now all that remained of the Latreyan fleet was the Heavy Capital, Two Cruisers, Frigate and Two Troop Transports. For some time they all lived within the transports and ships but tensions were rising and Altair was one of the first people to say something. After some time he actually left them wishing them nothing. Without even saying goodbye.

After leaving he decided to use his military skill for his own benefit and make money for new technologies. With The Interdictor being the only form of advanced technology that he had, it was only going to be a short amount of time before the Goa’uld decided to track him down and finish of the rest of them before they could make any sort of resistance. Because of this he decided to get to work. After years of just floating around in space, he finally mastered the art of Extortion, Murder, Intimidation and Bounty Hunting. This new talent led him to be a feared "underground" criminal in the lower lying worlds. Even though the years had passed by his hatred for the Goa'uld hadn't changed. He was going to make them pay. He was going to make them all suffer and if he could, then even destroy them. All the time anger was festering inside of him. Nothing could change this feeling. And this, in his eyes, was just the beginning.

- RP Sample -
For the first time in his life, Altair felt as though he had truly acheived something worth while. The civil unrest of his world was starting to settle down after severe diplomat talks. Altair was the leader of the Lantrix legion. He had many ships and men under his command just as the opposing side did. But he was different. After close study of the Goa'uld he jad learnt everything there was to know about there battle tactics and was putting them to good use.

The door opened and the his first officer came running into the room. After a quick salute he broke into speech.
"Sir... we've just recieved information from The Interdictor. A huge Goa'uld fleet has just exited hyperspace and has already engaged both our and the Nalredians ships." Altair looked up. The Goa'uld? Attacking Latreya. This had been completely unheard of for generations. Why now? "Okay, get me up onto that ship now. We need to get out of the way and let the Cruisers though."

Mere moments after he finished speaking he found himself of the bridge of The Interdictor. "Captain..... get us out of the way now. As soon as we're out of range of there weapons i want that cloak activated!" Most of the Latreyan fleet had already been destroyed. Beacuse of the Diplomat talks, all vessels had to have sheilds and weapons inoperable, and they were taken completley by suprise. Altair just sat and watched as the Goa'uld ships started to fire upon the planet. Anger eating away.

"General Tal'chee this is Captain Zann. We have been orded to escape while we still can. The battle is already lost. Most are fleeing through the Stargate but we need to go now. four others have already gone. We are the last two." Altair looked back at the Ships. "Activate the hyperdrive and get us out of here." Even as the hyperspace window stabalised and they moved into it...... he was regretting every action he was going to make.... now and in the future.

I've changed it so I don't have the ATA gene. I've thought and realised its not gonna make much of a difference whether or not i have it so i'll not have it.
