I noted in another post that my mom would never have checked out "Starcrossed" on her own. However, she enjoyed ADB when I got her to watch it. She was surprised that she enjoyed it, and when I mentioned the Starcrossed show idea, she thought it sounded pretty good. My uncle and cousin agreed. None of the above watch Stargate in any form.
Then I have friends who are Stargate fans and who have now seen ADB. They love the idea for the show.
The fans did a lot to get ADB screened at different places (including unofficial ones). If we can get that pilot episode viewable to people at conventions and whatnot, I think we can generate a lot of buzz.
The other main thing would be to to talk it up big at Comic Con and other places. There's nothing quite like Squirrel Marketing. And we have a head start on Starcrossed. We can get an early start on making posters and generating buzz. We have to make sure to target the right audiences. Folks who enjoy shows like "The Office" seem to enjoy ADB and the idea of Starcrossed. The Sci Fi fans are at least going to be curious.
I'm waiting to see what else we hear from David on the project. That will help direct the marketing for the program.
Cheers! Emerald
