Everyone is going over there cap....

guy......when a deal say's: 5 years 50 million dollars.......

50 divide by 5 = 10

so that means it's 10 million a year.

so if you have 30 million in cap space you just spent 10 million NOT 50!

you have to look at how much it is per year....NOT THE TOTAL AMOUNT

he's right though, a few teams ARE over. I've been very careful, and left some room in case a player needs more money. I think the Bengals are over by a lot.

he thinks if you bet 5 years 50 mill that the 50 mill comes out of this years cap.

If the Bengals are over they will have to cut players to get under and sign there draft picks.

I understand, but i think that makes it really tough on mhuff. Everyone needs to review their cap, make sure each offer is legit, post it somewhere, and if they are over, they need to take back bids, or cut people. thats the bottom line.

The bengals are not over. The bengals still have over 10 million dollars left, 6 of which has been "put aside" for the draft. When you have approximately 34 million and you spend 5M per year on a DE, 4M per year on a LB, 3M per year on a C, 3M per year on a RT, 4M per year on a TE, and 3M per year on a S, that equals 22M in this first year, which last time I checked is less than 34 million.
