JLE Office, The Public Office of the JLE.

A Private Law Enforcement Agency founded in July 2010 by Jade Ferruccio. The majority of the staff are ex-SAS. The JLE is publically known for offering protection to those who need it and more often those who can afford it. They generally pick up the slack of the Edgewater Police Force.

The Jade Law Enforcement Agency has its main office in the centre of Edgewater's Business District, right on the main street. The rather luxurious office space is owned by Jade Ferruccio. The building itself is noticeable for it's black marble entrance with 'Jade Law Enforcement' carved in white.

Anyone entering will see a wooden counter with a toughened glass screen stretching to the ceiling. There is usually someone stationed at the centre of the counter to deal with public enquiries.

"I'm here to see Jade Ferruccio" Boris said, tapping the counter idly with his fingers. Since his previous employer, Viktor Korvak, had all but disappeared from Edgewater, he hadn't seen his former colleague in person and was somewhat apprehensive about seeing her now.

"As soon as she's available. Tell her that Doctor Boris Bronstein is here."

He removed his hat and spun it around on his hands as he stood back from the counter, waiting for a reply.

As it happened, it was Charlotte that was working the desk when Bronstein walked in. She was a little shorter than Jade, quite a bit blonder too, but the combat vest she wore and the visible sidearm betrayed her abilities somewhat. Charlotte smirked a little upon hearing Bronstein's name, perhaps she had heard it earlier. "Jade's out working at the moment, she's expected back any mo-"

Charlotte didn't need to finish her sentence. At that moment Jade burst through the door, a prisoner in tow. It was somewhat comical to see a tall muscular man dressed in an expensive suit being thrown about by a five foot eight woman. Jade was dressed rather similarly to Charlotte. Black combat vest, black trousers, black boots, white earpiece. It was almost a uniform.

With little effort, Jade threw her prisoner into a nearby wall, cuffing him to a drainpipe. "Well Charlotte, better collect the bounty on him. Give the Po..Ah, Boris!"

Just noticing Boris, Jade hastily wiped the sweat from her brow and straightened her hair. Her smile was only passing and her usual businesslike demeanour returned as she walked towards the desk. She pushed open a fairly hidden door in the counter and nodded for Boris to follow her before entering a side office. This room looked a little bland; a wooden desk, a handful of photos and a gun were the only real decorations.

Taking a seat at her desk, Jade motioned for Boris to do the same opposite her. "So, how have you been? I trust Viktor's somewhat hasty exit hasn't put you in a bind?"

"No, it hasn't", Boris replied, taking the seat offered. It had taken him a few moments to regain his composure after seeing Jade bring in her prisoner. "Actually, it came at just the right time. A few of my former comrades from Russia have arrived in Edgewater looking for me, and they have brought a substantial amount of money with them. I am starting a little business venture of my own in the Hilton Botanical Gardens district, although I have to say it will be slightly different in nature to yours."

He took a quick look around Jade's office, noting the photographs and the gun.

"'Jade Law Enforcement', eh?" he said, slightly amused. "Who's law do you intend to enforce? Surely such a title is a contradiction in terms. In taking the law into your own hands, are you not breaking the law?"

"No it isn't." Jade replied rather quickly, turning a family photograph showing Jade and her brother away from Boris a little. "We work within the law and in fact in conjuction with the Police Department. Bounty hunting mostly though we respond to some particularly volatile situations."

Sighing a little, Jade unzipped the combat vest she was wearing revealing a short black t-shirt and hurled it at a nearby hat stand. While the stand obviously wasn't made for vests, it still held it admirably well! "We also work for the occasional VIP; providing protection from some of Edgewater's well....freaks, I suppose."

She was rubbing her forehead while she spoke; it appeared fatigue was hitting her a little. It was true she hadn't slept for a while. When James, Colin and Charlotte had arrived in Edgewater with the idea of creating this agency, Jade had thrown herself into it. In a matter of weeks everything was operational. That fact brought a little smile to her face and she assured herself she'd have a liein tomorrow.

"Hilton Botanical Gardens? That's not too far from here. Don't tell me; those healing hands of yours also have green fingers?" she joked, stifling a yawn.

"Not really", Boris replied. "I have little interest in plants or their arrangements. Although, with the nature of my powers, I imagine I could restore damaged cells in plants also. That's an interesting thought, although I do not believe many people would find that a very valuable ability.

He stopped speaking for a moment and simply looked at Jade. "You are tired", he said, in a tone that suggested he was under the impression that Jade was unaware of the fact. "You ought to drink some water, eat something, and perhaps lie down. I will not intrude on you any longer, I just thought I should let you know where I will be based in future, should you require assistance with anything."

While it was true that Jade was tired, she just couldn't bring herself to follow Boris' orders. Best to just ignore it. This seed of rebellion seemed to energise her. She opened her desk drawer and withdrew a small black card. Holding it between her two fingers, she tapped her chin in mock thought. "Hmm, so you came here to offer me assistance? Just what is your new business venture? Don't tell me...Private Security?"

Arching her brow in a mock accusation, Jade flicked the card onto the desk in front of Boris. It featured the name 'Jade Law Enforcement' as well as the address of the building and a contact number. She expected Boris already had her phone number from working at the Magnum Organisation but it was best to play it safe. No doubt he'd need bailing out at one time or another.
