I loved both of these little mini dramas so much. Both were so touching and emotional. Both had sad endings but the stories were just so well written and well acted. Both stories were part of a four series movie about forbidden love.

Forth Story: Throb of Fate
Cast: with their blogs¨ [Kawai Ryuunosuke] & [Kumai Kouhei]
Summary Kei, who's a doctor, drowned while swimming at his usual pool one day, until a young lifeguard, Kanade, came to his rescue. From there a lovely relationship began. But Kanade was soon diagnosed with a fatal disease. Kei tried to console him, however; because Kanade did not want to be pitied, they started drifting apart. When an incident happened in the hospital the blame was all put on Kei. The head director of the hospital also threatened to reject Kanade as a patient if Kei stayed close to the other. Since this hospital was the only chance for Kanade's recovery, Kei had to end it with Kanade. Although, fate has it's ways of...

First Story: Shattered Wings
Cast: with their blogs¨ [Tomo Yanagishita], [Ire Shiozaki] and [Juri]
Summary Tsubasa's stepfather has just committed suicide, which he feels is his responsiblity. One day he was harrassed by three guys, laughing and taunting him about his father. All this was witnessed by Ryou (Leo), a potter, who was nearby but did not give a helping hand. Tsubasa hurried to school and with his clothes dirtied, he entered a unlocked room to wash his clothes. There Kain, another potter, appeared and consoled him. Immediately, Tsubasa developed a good feeling for Kain. Very soon Ryou reappears into the picture, and this quickly revolves into a three-sided love affair.

So as anyone else seen these mini dramas, come in and comment.

Though I found the first set of actors to be considerably more attractive and the 4th story somewhat overly dramatic, I really enjoyed watching the 4th one! I blame my addiction to angst and hospital romances. ^^;

I did like the fourth story over the first one more. It just seemed so sad maybe a little over dramatic but I'm a sucker for angst and drama, so I loved it. I thought that no one in here had ever heard of these movies before.

I think it's since the drama wasn't solely BL throughout, but covered a variety of relationships, and so possibly less BL fans have heard of it? Although given that the first press of the 1st story DVD sold out so quickly, maybe I'm wrong? ^^;;; I'm waiting for the 4th story to be released on DVD at the moment. ^^ Personally though, I think the overall quality of these short story arcs in terms of directing, cinematography and overall aesthetic appeal are significantly better than anything else thus far released as live-action BL (by that I mean non-inclusive of gay movies, and only pseudo-gay movies with the intention of appealing to a female audience), though the new Boys Love Cinema edition is also rather aesthetically appealing. I think the bouts of narrative added a lot to this drama's emotional impact.

I think when they first started making BL movies, it was just get money and they just seemed to make it so different that it may have had appeal but there was not any sucstance to it. Now I feel that they are understanding more and just making BL movies like any other straight movie. I loved the scene in the first movie where they were at the clay wheel and were attempting to make the pot. Took me back to the movie "Ghost". That scened just screamed intimate moment to me, and I love scenes like those.

~There is no remedy for love but to love more~

I watchted these two arcs some time ago, but with my non-existent Japanese skills everything was difficult to understand~ But I've read a translation somewhere, and got full knowledge of all the drama and angst ;_;
Although both arcs had no real happy end, I liked the whole plot and atmosphere- it was really touching and memorable~ ^_^ Not to forget the actors of course X3

I've only seen the first one and I loved it. It's so sad and moving and just guh! I'm going to rewatch both of these now because I totally found them subbed. I'm so happy that someone finally took it upon themselves to sub these for us.

Throb of Fate is just so AWWW and heart breaking. :( Figures the guy will go out and donate his heart. ARGH i just can say anything else.

OH MY i just love the second arc. Too Cliche though :( but the ending was really superb. And the over all allusion to wings and flight, made me more of a sucker for this arc. :<
