Even though this movie isn't historically correct, it's really interesting! I always assumed King Henry VIII was this grotesquely obese and horny old man. But after watching this show, I did a little research on him and despite all of the divorcing and beheading of his wives, he was somewhat of a hopeless romantic who was just obsessed with having a male heir.
The Tudors is definitely intriguing and worth watching.

I just finished watching the second season of the tudors. I liked it quite a lot. I still find Henry VIII too annoying and yeah..women had it terrible back then. Every time i see this kind of stuff, although i love it, im glad those times of absolute power in the monarchy are done.

The Other boleyn girl is a pretty awesome movie too that treats the same topic.

I actually bought the entire first series on DVD for a ridiculously cheap price ... purely because it was so cheap. But I actually ended up enjoying it ... despite the historical innaccuracies - but hey, any movie/show that deals with history is never gonna be 100% correct, so I guess we're all used to seeing things that have been glamourised for TV a little.

Actually our regular TV has the first season running these days. I've been watching except I slept through the 3rd part. It's running kinda late for me :(
As for the inaccurancy I expect it somewhat in TV series. I'm much stricter on books usually *dunno why*

my friend had the first season so i watched it and it was pretty amazing~ haha. i think the second season is out on dvd so...i'll make him buy it. :P
