Cosette Miller walked into Starbucks and over to the counter. She ordered a latte with extra foam. She got it and sat down at a table for two. She was waiting for her friend, Hunter Johnson, who said he would meet her there. Where is he? I hope he gets here soon.

Hunter pushed the door of Starbucks open, the wind propelling him inside. He still hadn't gotten used to how windy the town was, and how cold. The wind from the ocean bit through his jacket. Inside Starbucks was very warm, and Hunter looked around the popular coffee shop for Cosette. He hoped she had actually showed up. Instant messaging wasn't always reliable.

He spotted his friend, and slipped suavely into a seat across from her. "Fancy seeing you here," he said sarcastically.

Cosette smiled as Hunter sat down.
"Fancy seeing you here,"
She smirked. "Nice to see you too, Hunter." she said with a slight British accent. That's what she got from living in England since she was five. It annoyed her at times but that was the way she spoke.

"I haven't seen you around in a while." Cosette said, "Where were you? And how have you been?" She smiled softly. She was wearing her "Prima Donna" Phantom of the Opera tee shirt, white long sleave tee-shirt under it, jeans, mules and her jacket on the back of the chair. Her dark brown curls hanging loosely around her heart shaped face. She had a light smile on her face, brightening her features, as she waited for Hunter to answer.

Hunter chuckled. He found British accents to be quite intriguing. As he unzipped his brown jacket and slung it over the back of the chair, he said, "I've just been busy. School and stuff... It sucks. But I guess life's pretty good ... Dad's trying to get me to work at his garage after school's done but I don't want to. And I've been doing soccer. But otherwise, nothing."

With a grin, he sarcastically added, "Except seeing you of course. That must be the highlight of my life." He said it completely jokingly. He really did like seeing his friend. He hoped she understood the joke. She probably would, seeing as she understood his sense of humor.

He leaned back casually in the chair, crossing his jean-covered legs and looking at Cosette. "What about you? I haven't seen you in forever either."

Dad's trying to get me to work at his garage after school's done but I don't want to.
"That hardly seems fair." Cosette told Hunter, honestly, "You shouldn't be forced to do anything you don't want to do."

And I've been doing soccer.
"Oh, I love soccer. Or football as I usually call it. Mind if I come and watch you sometime?"

"Except seeing you of course. That must be the highlight of my life."
Cosette grined and laughed, "And see you is the highlight of mine."

"What about you? I haven't seen you in forever either."
Cosette said "Oh, I've just been studying and stuff. I have also been looking to some scripts my Dad has sent me. He want me to do all these odd roles like The Woman in White. I don't know about that but I've been consiereing playing Elphaba, the green Wicked Witch, in Wicked and Eponine in Les Miserables. I really wanna do Eponine because I've been in her place before and I really understand her, ya know? She loves a guy but the guy loves a girl, oddly enough named Cosette, and she will do anything for that guy. He gives her a simple task: Take a letter to Cosette and She goes back to the Baracade, where he is fighting against the government, and she gets shot. He tells her he loves her so she can die in peace. I think that sounds wrong to do, especially do a dying person, don't you?"

"I agree, but Dad is Dad. A stubborn old man," Hunter said. He and his dad hadn't been getting along well lately, but that was because he was pressuring him to work and stuff. Hunter had told his dad repeatedly that he didn't want to work because he was actually planning on going to college after high school. Being a car repairman wasn't good enough for him.

"Of course you can come watch. No one ever does, but if I can get you and Lou to come out we might actually get some spectators." He laughed. The team wasn't very good, and he was thinking of going into a bigger town to try out for their teams because the school team wasn't very competitive.

He listened to her story about the plays and nodded to show he was listening. "I don't know how you can just get up there on stage and act. Most sane people would have a heart attack, me included. But anyways, I guess it is wrong, but then she's going to die knowing that she's loved, so it might make it a bit happier... Not like death is happy, but she'd be more relaxed maybe?" he speculated. He wasn't sure... he had never seen Les Miz, or any play for that matter. Although, since Cosette was into that stuff, he might as well get his butt in gear on learning about it. "Are there any plays anytime soon that I could come and see?" he asked curiously.

"I agree, but Dad is Dad. A stubborn old man,"
Cosette laughed and said, "My dad's the same way. But I'd be the last person to call him old."

"Of course you can come watch. No one ever does, but if I can get you and Lou to come out we might actually get some spectators."
She smiled. "That's not fair. Maybe I can get my Dad to come in and see it. Then it might become the "cool" thing to do." She laughed.

"I don't know how you can just get up there on stage and act. Most sane people would have a heart attack, me included. But anyways, I guess it is wrong, but then she's going to die knowing that she's loved, so it might make it a bit happier... Not like death is happy, but she'd be more relaxed maybe?"
"It's easy." Cosette told Hunter, "Well, for me. Because I've been doing it since I was very young and it's old hat for me." She thought about what he said as she took a sip of her latte. "You know," she said, "You're right. It would be better for her to die knowing she was loved. Wonder why I couldn't figure that out!"

"Are there any plays anytime soon that I could come and see?"
Cosette smiled. "Well," she said, "I am going to do a guest appearence in the tour of Whistle Down the Wind, one of my Dad's shows, and you're more than welcome to come."

"My dad's the same way. But I'd be the last person to call him old."

Hunter laughed. "Parents are all stubborn," he said, thinking aloud. It was true. Most of his friends parents were pretty stubborn back in San Diego, and so far his friends here had pretty hard-set parents too. It must be a common characteristic.

"That's not fair. Maybe I can get my Dad to come in and see it. Then it might become the "cool" thing to do."

"Probably. Then Shaye Bay'd have to build a bigger soccer stadium because of the sudden surge of spectators," he agreed. "That's not a bad thing, ya know. Helps for college scholarships and stuff."

"Well, I am going to do a guest appearence in the tour of Whistle Down the Wind, one of my Dad's shows, and you're more than welcome to come."

"Sweet. I doubt it'll play here though...Where's the nearest theatre it would be at?" he asked curiously. He just hoped that it would be somewhere... heh... not too expensive. He didn't have much money to spare, and he knew his dad wouldn't let him borrow any because they actually needed to eat.

"Parents are all stubborn,"
Cosette laughed. "Well, That is true on any continent."

"Probably. Then Shaye Bay'd have to build a bigger soccer stadium because of the sudden surge of spectators,"
"That would be great." Cosette said honestly.

"That's not a bad thing, ya know. Helps for college scholarships and stuff."
"True," Cosette said, "If you get the bigger stadium, then more college scouts can come which will mean more scholarships."

"Sweet. I doubt it'll play here though...Where's the nearest theatre it would be at?"
"Um.." Cosette said, "I don't know. What's the largest city near here? I'll definately take you to see it. You'll love the show. Trust me. It's awesome."

Truth to be told, Hunter wasn't sure which big city was closest. Shaye Bay was on the northern of California, so he guessed that the nearest big town was... "I think it's LA," he said, "But even that's a long way away. There must be something closer." He tried to remember some of his fifth-grade US geography, but it didn't work. He smiled kind of dorkily at Cosette.

"It's ironic we're both so clueless," Hunter said with a grin. "Mind you, we're both new, so maybe that's typical." Shaye Bay was pretty much in the middle of nowhere anyways, so anywhere was quite a long way away. "We could always ask Lou, she's lived here for ages," he suggested. Or use a map...

"You're right." Cosette said, "Lou would know this area better than us. We'll have to talk to her later." Cosette smiled. He is very cute. she thought One of the cutest boys I've ever seen.
