Midnight, Closed Except For S.M.

Shira stirred in her sleep, fighting or running from something unknown in her sleep as she curled up more against rajah as he slept next to her. She whimpered a little and opened her eyes, relieved it had all just been a dream, and to see that the room was still bathed in the soft glow from the glowing crystals in the wall. she sat up, rubbing a bit of chill off of her right shoulder as she looked around. she knew she'd never get to sleep now. not until she reassured herself in some way. she got off the grass bed, leaving her cloak behind since rajah was still using it as a blanket. the door creeked lightly on the vine hinges as she passed through it and closed it gently again. she left the caves out into the clear starry night, heading up the slopes in hopes of getting high enough to try and spot any bodies of water.

Rahja's ear twitched as the door creaked, and he slowly lifted an eyelid. He knew no one was tryig to sneak in, from the sound of quiet but receading footsteps. The other hint he knew it was merely Shira leaving was that she wasn't next to him in bed.

He raised himself up onto an elbow and looked at the door. Where was she going? Merely a bathroom break, or was she sneaking off somewhere. There was a small amount of frost near the bed, barely any, but he didn't think it was normal. He didn't recall Shira creating frost in her sleep any other night.

He flicked Shiras cloak off himself and stood up, and stretched. He picked up the cloak and then followed after Shira, moving slowly.

shira continued up the slope, stopping to look about every now and then. it would be a very long time before she was high enough to use the smaller circumfrence of the mountain to go around it and view the slopes in a full 360 of the pack's territories. but it wasnt going to be alright until she saw a sign of a large amount of water.

He watched Shira from a distance as she stopped and looked around, heading up the mountain. He wondered what she was looking for, or why she had decided to go out at roughly midnight, as well as what had caused her to wake.

He continued to follow her, closing the distance gradually. There was no rush, he would catch up before she went too far.

She let out a low groan. she had reached a rather steep part of the slope. unwilling to change and use her wings for a measily six foot ledge she lept at it, grabbing the upper ridge and pulling herself up. it wasnt the only ledge. giving up slightly, she started to inch along the edge to the side, trying to find an easier way up.

Rahja reached the ledge and waited a little while, keeping an eye on her incase she fell. After a while he decided to switch forms and fly up. He flew past Shira to the Ledge above her and sat on it, looking down at her, resuming his previous form. He extended a hand down to her for her to grab onto.

shira didnt even know she was being followed. lashing out defensively the wind quickly picked up, growing chilly as she readyed to lash out with ice. but all she saw was rajah.
"Why'd you follow me?" she asked, letting the wind die down as fast as it had started.

"Wondering what you were up to is all. You don't usually sneak out at midnight. Nor do you create frost in your sleep."

He slipped off the ledge and landed next to her, grabbing her arms as he pulled her gently off the ledge and into a hug, changing forms again and flying them both up past the ledges, landing and changing back yet again, hugging her around the middle, standing behind her.

"Whats the matter?"

shira kept her head tilted down.
"its just a bad dream... so it's nothing," she muttered, a bit shy she had been caught wandering outside all over a dream.

"Come on now, my love. Talk to me...please?"

He hugged her a little tighter, giving her a gentle kiss on the neck, since her face was out of reach just then.

"Just a bad dream. I just want to find a large body of water of some sort and then i'll be fine," she said, hugging back a little bit.
"thats the only reason why im up here, is cuz i need to find it," she added.

"Ok then. Why a large body of water?"

He nuzzled her gently. Unfortunately, he couldn't protect Shira from bad dreams, but he could do his best to allow her to forget about them.

"because fire is extinguished by water, and we'll find a diffrent food sorce other than deer and sheep.." she said as she nuzzled him slightly. she let out a small wolf mur.

"Ok then."

He did not question the comment about it extinguishing fire. He glanced around for a large body of water, and spotted one away to the east. He raised his arm and pointed towards it lazily.

"That do?"

"Depends... how close you think it is? and how big?" she asked as she tried to see it. maybe it was cuz there was no moon that night, so the light wasnt reflecting off its surface.
