High winds whipped the cold snowy face of the mountains in the snow fields, driving visability down to a mear few feet. It was cold and freezing, and eerily quiet. A soft glacial cracking suddenly made its muffled way through the insulating snow, and with a deafening roar, a cascade of snow tumbled down the mountain like a giant white and frozen tsunami. Trees cracked and fell as it sweapt over them, dragging them along for the ride as the mass of tumbling snow swallowed and burried all in its path. It was sudden and deadly. One wouldnt be able to move even if only burried under six inches of the packed snow.

And as suddenly as it started, the avalanche slid to a slow stop. The mountain remained deathy silent again for a few seconds. Then something that resembled a roar echoed from benieth the snow. From it, a clawed fist finally punched its way through, and clawed at the snow, heaving and pulling its owner along until first a shoulder, then a head came free of the would be frozen tomb. The man pried more, breaking free his other arm, and pulled himself up and out from the snow. The wolf demon shook himself off, snow still clinging to his hakama, vest, and tee shirt, as well as his spikey hair and tail. Exhausted from the digging and prying himself out from utter suffocation, he fell forward in the snow, face down panting as he took a small breather.

Kiraya walked along the mountain, a death worthy silence was all around him, all he could have hear is his own breath and footsteps, shoveling through the snow. Like usual, it was cold, very cold, but not to him. Because as usual he's using a warmth layer to warm himself up, the most funny thing is that he's able to do it from the usage of his ice element manipulation which is quite ironic for his case. Walking through, he heard a devestating roar from afar, probebly somewhere further in the mountain. As the roar was sounded, snow started to roll down from the top of the mountain and increasing it's size along the way, causing a huge over-all wave of snow to come down. Kiraya sighed and prepared himself for the impact, there was enough time to work on the timing and on the level of usage.

Pointing with his opened palm at the upcoming wave, Kiraya breathed in and then in a moment as he breathed out, part around Kiraya up to the very top of the wave crystalized with ice, the snow could be seen after the thick icy layers and the rest of the snow continiued to flowaround his barrier of ice. Not too long after that, the snow slowly stopped and then he knew that it was time to move on. While walking, he could pick up a sound that didnt match his footsteps or breathing, something similer to that very roar from before came up from under the ground a bit further away. Kiraya walked to that direction just to find out that a wolf-like creature is claimbing out of the snow restlessly.

Letting him get out completely without saying a word or revealing himself to the wolf, he only thought "a wolf thing, around this parts...? werent those wolf hybrids extinct already? if so, then he might as well be the last one, better not break it down then" he thought and then looked at him as he got out and said "having fun, playing with the snow?" he said in his humorious tone, it wasnt like he was looking for enemies, but it looks quite entertaining so why not play with the wolf thing for a while, after all, he might as well be the last one as far as Kiraya knows.

Oki picked his head up slowly to look at ther person who owned the voice, chest still heaving as he panted still.
"I am not playing," He said simply. Oki shook his head clear before slowly picking himself up off the snowy ground, hands on his knees. Finally he straightened up.
"what are you doing all the way out there?" Oki asked. He didnt need to sound polite. As far as he was concered the guy hadn't offered him any help at all.

Kiraya smiled slightly and said "I just took a walk, but could I ask what you're doing in a place like this?" he said while giving him a hand, back then he couldnt have helped him since he wasnt in a stable position and one wrong move will cause them both to fall deep into the snow, but now that he stabled himself up, help is suddenly posible, so why not. Then he sighed slightly and opened his palm on the other hand and started generating an apple from his energy, creating a solid, jussy red apple and then, giving it a bite he looked at the wolf thing and asked im "you want some?" he said as he finished his bite.

"easily answered, my tribe lives in these territories, but I'm trying to leave," Oki answered. He watched the man's hand carefully before finally taking it and getting up. If it wasn't for the fact he was in foot deep snow, he'd look so much taller.
"you want some?" he asked.
"No thanks. I already have enough in my pack," Oki said, unintrested with the foreign food.
"What is the name of the man that wants to simply "take a walk" through such treacherous terreign?" Oki asked.

Kiraya laughed a bit at his comment, the formality of that person was quite amusing to him since he was used to people that are more carefree and flowful. Then he answered "hah, me? I'm Kiraya, and you might be...?" he asked as he realized what that wolf thing just said, his tribe's territory was in this area which means that theres a whole bunch of those wolf creatures around here, it might be a goldmine for a hunter, but unfortunatly Kiraya wasnt this type of hunter after all. He then took another bite and then sighed slightly saying "so you living here means that you know the area pretty well, including whats going on around here and who lurcks around this area. I heard that the shadows are accustomed to this area as well and some ice creatures as well, is that true?" he said with a slightly more serious voice while still keeping his cool and his carefree manner.

"My name is Zanbu Oki," he said.
"And why do you think I'm going. I'm tired of those shadow organization people. Before them, humans reveared my tribesmen as dieties protecting them from the more malevolent demons. But with all the hunters and such we cant keep protecting them like normal, so they think we've turned their back on them, and now kill us if they can as well," Oki informed.
"But yes I do know the area well, I'm just having trouble in this blizzard. The mountain protects us mostly, but outside the village you lose that comfort.." he added.

Kiraya sighed slightly and said "I see, well, my home town should be further ahead unless those shadow freaks took it down, maybe we could visit there, the blizzards mostly dont get there as far as I can remember and the area is quite peaceful so it should give you some time to relax with all those shadows and hunters going by" he said as he finished his apple, the area started to get colder, most likely another blizzard is going to hit them soon, Kiraya really didnt feel like exposing his abilities at this point becuase of the old saying "knowing your enemies is knowing your way to victory" which he lived on for quite a while.

Oki nodded to Kiraya on the information he told him.
"Then I guess we should get going," He suddested, gestering with an arm for him to lead.

(OOC: lol, dont worry, everyone has a writer's block every once in a while so its cool.)

Kiraya smiled slightly with a slight breaking out laughter (hmpf) and then started walking toward his old town. Although he didnt look like it, he came from a nobelty family which owned a castle at that two, although a lot of rumors were going on about having a vampire in there and all, but at that time, there werent many people who actually believed in vampires and thought of it more like a superstition rather then a fact. His father though was the one to make that kind of rumor at that time which he should be thankful for because it kind of ruined his childhood, but then again, it should be fine now since nobody lives there anymore.

Walking through the snowy fields, the sky began to darken itself and the wind blew harder and harder, snow was picked up and moved along with it along with the snow that was falling from the sky creating a semi-blizzard. Kiraya sighed and said "we better find shelter for the time, the situation will only get worst if we continiue to walk toward the town. Do you know if theres solid ground around here somewhere?" he said while looking at the Oki, it didnt really matter wether theres a solid ground around or not because Kiraya could always create pillers to support the shelter he was going to create, but who knows what might be lurking inside that kind of snow without then even knowing it, after all, those shadow freaks can pull off things like that too, so it'd be preferable for them to have a place where they can safely rest while the storm is there.

Oki himself, even though used to extreame cold, was beginning not to do well from the uprising blizzard. Following Kiraya, he shifted his form into a small horse sized navy blue wolf with maroon fur along his back and shoulders, and a black tip on his tail.
"The closest you can get to 'solid ground' now would be anywhere between trees. But then you risk the branches getting to heavy and breaking of to fall on you. Best bet is on the lee side of the mountain, where it is sheilding the mountainside from the wind," Oki told as he glanced at Kiraya momentarily with his crimson eyes, before looking over the barren landscape again.

Kiraya thought for a bit while walking and said "no, an area near trees will do better for us, in my case, we shouldnt worry about having broken brunches and snow falling down as long as we have a roof above our heads, no? Lead the way, I dont remember seeing a forest around this part when I was traveling here before so I'm not too sure where it is, and the forest near the town is too far away, so show me the way" he said and then he sighed slightly, looking up at the sky, the sun was no longer visible and he sighed again with a slight releave, he didnt want any accidents to happen while walking around other people if Oki could be called a person. Looking at him for a moment, he saw that his shape shifted from a humanoid wolf to a horse-like wolf (size-wise) which looked quite diffrent then him, if he wouldnt have recognized his voice, he could have easily mistaken him for someone or something else, after all, this territory IS their traibe's.

(btw, only indication he wasn't human before woulda been the wolf tail. just so you know. also i guess an easier size than 'small horse' is like great dane sized o.o; )

Oki gave a wolf nod and started to lead Kiraya. Although he was doing so at a slow run, it was mostly to help him clear over the deep snow. The speed he was going at really was only at a trot, but if he tried walking normal, even on his long legs, he'd be floundering in the thick snow instead of making ground.
The path he was taking was going diagnally down the mountain. He knew there were spruce groves nearby, but they just needed to find them first. It wasn't going to be easy with such bad visability from the storm.

Giving to Oki to lead wasnt one of his brightest ideas, the running he did wasnt fast and it wasnt hard to keep up, but each step made a hole in the ground which Kiraya tried to avoid to keep himself on the surfece. However, regardless on the fact that the snow shower started to mass up the vission, there was a strange feeling as if they have been spotted and scouted on. Obviously Kiraya had only 4 guesses onto what that might be; VS, Agents, Wolf demons and ice demons. Each option was worst then the other and he really didnt feel like fighting, or atleast that was a while after he walked through the snow with Oki, the snow began storming out and bluring their distant vision and the air got much colder.

A horn sound was sounded and Kiraya thought "what the hell? damn, this is bad!" he thought as he looked back, there were a bunch of humans ontop of flying mashines and one of them had a metalic horn in his hand, but what was more troublesome was the snow that was flading the space as far as the eye could see, and thats pretty far considering that Kiraya had a 10x10 vission which is the maximum eyesight any human could ever get even with improvements.

Kiraya sighed heavily and said "ch', those basterds dont know when to quit, do they?" he said and then aimed his hand at them with an open palm, and from the very snow a crystalized ice wall roze from the ground, at that time, the humans flew up above all the troublesome area while still being in the middle of the strengthening storm which was a huge mistake since they'd obviously get lost and will fall along with the snow. The ice wall was big enough to both rise from the ground and cover up enough space so that the evalage wont reach neither kiraya nor oki.

Oki looked back over his shoulder at the flying machines and Kiraya.
"Forget them. We can lose them in the trees. They won't be able to fly low enough to see us through the pines," Oki advised. The wolf demon turned tail and fled towards the closest grove of trees as fast as he could, his long legs making it easy for his chest and body to clear the snow if his giant paws didnt keep him on top of the snow.
"When we get there we'll have the ability to deal with them as we like," he added, hopping the man was still following him.
