Title: Board Game Testing
Description: Free Pizza! Chance to win $25 GC!

Zetan - June 19, 2012 03:44 PM (GMT)
Sunday the 22nd of July starting at 1:00. Free pizza lunch, courtesy of Jack Bennett!

The purpose of the event is to collect data on plays of four, free, print-and-play boardgames. Three of the games are solitaire games, one is a two player game. Players who show up will be given free copies of the games to play (and keep). They will be taught how to play the games, and then given the opportunity to record their plays so I can use the data in my project.

The four games are:
  • Lassos & Longhorns: a 1-4 players push your luck dice game where players driver a herd a cattle to the railhead.
  • Inspector Moss: a 1 player game where players search a house for clues to make an arrest.
  • 270 to Win: a 2 player push your luck dice game where players compete in states for electoral votes in hopes of being elected.
  • Utopia Engine: a 1 player game where players search the wilderness for pieces of the Utopia Engine in order to build it and stop Doomsday.
After player each game, players can write down answers to a few questions (or enter them on my computer). Each play of every game enters them into a drawing for a $25 Sci-Fi Genre gift certificate. Any printed components for the games they are allowed to keep. We'll need lots of d6s, so if people can bring some that'd be great.
