Hey everyone. I am excited to announce the next pauper event at Sci-Fi!

When: Saturday, May 12th, 2012, start time 1pm
Where: Sci-Fi, of course!
What: Innistrad Block Pauper Constructed

You read that right, we are doing Innistrad block pauper. This means that only commons from Innistrad block (Innistrad, Dark Ascension, and Avacyn Restored) are legal. If a card was reprinted in one of the sets, you can use older copies, but the card MUST have been printed as a COMMON in the Innistrad block. The rest of the normal constructed rules apply.

Cost and prize support will be like normal FNM constructed, with possibly some crazy extra prize provided by Cluze to the overall winner.

Hello again everyone.

So I know that the new set drops this week, and a lot of you are going to be cracking a lot of packs. Some of you will end up with gobs of commons, and you may not know what to do with all of them.

Well I have some good news! You could use them to build a deck and play pauper with us! :)

Seriously though, pauper is a fun format, and you should consider coming out on the 12th. If you know anyone who is new to organized Magic, this is a great opportunity to get them involved for very very little cost.

I wish Pauper was run more often, I'd have a better idea of what the format felt like.

AVR made control-ish decks possible but will it win? (dang Stern Mentor for being an uncommon!)

So, I've decided I'm doing this. Be ready.

Just wanted to say I absolutely loved the format and had a blast. I hope that the next one is sooner rather than later and Innistrad Block again!
