Title: Week #8 Results
Description: (As the season draws to a close...)

Well, that's it, the season's over. Only one game was played this week (excluding the finals of the Blutighammer Anvil - and again, congratulations to Collins on winning that - and a friendly games between Collins and Joe) but what an important game it was, with the two top placed teams, both equal on Win Ratio, playing against each other.

As Shane's Lizardmen needed a win to take the top spot (as even a tie wouldn't help) this result meant they slipped down to third, Collins' Dwarves jump back up to second, and Stuart's Dark Elves win the league.

As league champions, Stuart gains a trophy re-roll and a bonus 100,000 gp. Collins gains a 70,000 gp as his Dwarf team took second place, while Shane's Lizardmen team gains a bonus 50,000 gp and Stuart gains a 30,000 gp for his Human team, for ending up in third and fourth place respectively.

As both Collins and Stuart are tied for the Coach of the Season award, it's very fitting that there's still one game left to play this season, the Kroxigorade Charity Goblet, between the winners of the cup (Collins' Wood Elves) and the winners of the League (Stuart's Dark Elves).

Many thanks to everyone for taking part this season and congratulations on everyone who won a trophy or an award. Due to real-life craziness, I'm most likely bowing out for a while, so Collins will be running the next season. I wish him all the best with it.

Good game, Stuart, you earned your place on top. :)

For future seasons where there isn't a schedule (or if side-games are allowed and count toward season standings) I would definitely suggest making the tie-breaker average points, instead of total points. Making wins worth 3 points and draws worth 1 is obviously meant to make people go for the win, since a draw is worth less than half of a win. However, with the current system, two people with the same win/loss record, one of whom has also had ties will come out ahead. This definitely goes against the idea of "a draw is worth less than half of a win."

Anyway, we're banking our 50,000 gp for now. :) Let me know when we get started up again... I think by May my schedule will be a little easier.
