This year SciFi Genre is proud to be an official participant in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve’s Toys for Tots campaign. Over the 62 years of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made U. S. Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas.

Beginning on November 1, 2011 and ending on December 17, 2011 a Toys for Tots collection receptacle will be available at SciFi Genre. If you wish to donate a toy, please be certain that it is new and unwrapped, namely, only in its original packaging (do not use wrapping paper to conceal the item). The Marine Corp Reserve will distribute toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

If you are purchasing a toy to donate from SciFi Genre, inform the cashier that you are making a charitable donation to the Toys for Tots program and 10% will be deducted from the cost of the toy(s).

I want to thank everyone who helped make this year's Toys for Tots campaign so successful. Through your generosity two collection receptacles were filled with a wide range of toys. I also must commend the management and staff at SciFi Genre for their collective willingness to support this charity.
