There was some discussion about wanting to do a new player event sometime soon - any ideas on what we should do, specifically, and when? Schedule-wise, things are actually pretty crowded for reasonably close events for the next couple months:

9/3: Labor day weekend, lots of people at Dragoncon
9/10: Greenville
9/17: Charleston Winner's Choice - also, this is probably the weekend for an SC release event.
9/24: Free, far as I know
10/1: Atlanta Favored of the Void Dragon
10/8: Free, as far as I know
10/15: Fort Mill (near Charlotte) Winner's choice.

EE's release date is unknown.

I was thinking the 24th we could do not so much a tournament but a deckbuilding and trading day. With SC just come out and a handful of players asking for a day just to work on deckbuilding I figured we could take a day off from playing (well, we could certainly do some playtesting) and pull our decks apart and put them back together.

Yeah, I could make the 24th, too. And I could bring my boxes of cards to give out commons/uncommons to those in need. And doing some trading after the SC release would be great!
