Title: Harbinger previews
Big Remy - December 19, 2009 07:53 PM (GMT)
There are a few on Facebook and a few on the official site. There are a bunch on the Mantis forum as well.
This will probably become an auto include in my Spider decks anytime I play Jeff

For anyone who has played my new Breeder deck...three copies of this are going in it. Be warned.

And remember, the force bump from Besieged Borderlands and Border Ambush last until the end of the turn :ph43r:

That could be abused like crazy. It will probably be errated within the year.

With six zombies, two Besieged Borderlands, Fu Leng's Guidance and two of these cards I'm pretty sure I could take at least two provinces in one turn.
God...I rarely ask for anything but please do let this card ever become errated...and I want a new car. Amen.

Looking at the cards for TH again...Enticement is going to be going into my Breeder deck I think.
For one reason, and one reason only: Power Corrupting fodder.

Thank god, more anti-Cavalry cards that don't require presence. And its a Winter, so it will power Yukari no Onna for me in my Ronin deck.

I'll see your Snow-Swept Summit and raise you a Determined Force (http://www.l5r.com/the-harbinger-previews/).
Just so you all know, unless I miraculously pull 3 copies of Determined Force, I will be trading for it come Harbinger time.
Big Remy - January 5, 2010 07:41 PM (GMT)
That's fine.
If that card that lets you remove Cavalry from three personalities permanently makes the cut I'll be trading for three of those.
Big Remy - January 6, 2010 03:52 PM (GMT)
Right into my DV deck

Man, with each new set the value of rout continues to improve. Seriously, their are a lot of really good , expensive followers in the game right now. Maybe other clans besides Phoenix and Mantis will actually start playing heavily with attachments?

AHAHAHA Determined Force has already been hit with the errata hammer:

I'm fine with that. All for cards working like they're clearly intended to. Regardless, I still want three.
ben - January 13, 2010 03:42 AM (GMT)
Is it just me or is AEG getting kind of sloppy lately with their cards?
FiddlerJones - January 13, 2010 04:37 AM (GMT)
I'm inclined to say they're not. What they are doing is taking a more activist approach to game balance. I haven't been playing for long, but from what I hear, before Chags 4 L5R almost never had a banned or errata'd card. This isn't because they were balancing the cards better; there was still brokenness. They just had the mentality that once it's in print, that's how it is. While I can respect that, I'd rather play a balanced game with a few errata to learn.
Correct me if I'm wrong though. I may not have those facts straight.

Ben, you should like these three
previews.A new holding to give a gold boost for buying Oni, a new Goblin that will work awesome with Gutobo and a 7F/3C Oni for only 7 gold with a kill action.
Big Remy - January 19, 2010 02:49 PM (GMT)
More breeder goodness.
Big Remy - January 19, 2010 05:57 PM (GMT)
Oh sweet jesus
yogurtman - January 19, 2010 07:33 PM (GMT)
The goblin's too slow for blitz, but very effective in swarm. I approve. The other one is decent support for breeder, especially considering the 1/1 force gold ratio.

Seems you were looking at Prayer to Hotei. Fortunately, it's not permanent.

Heh. I'd say it's pretty solid as-is, what with basically being a ring of earth on its other action.
