Damnit.... I just had the most un-necron necron experiance.
I was playing a 4 way, 2 v 2, with my friends. I was teamed up with Gerrg (IG), and was against DavidDefense (DE) and Recoilless (T). It was a pretty fair game. Then: David Defense deployed hsi webway portals. No problemo. He still has to roll for reserves... and I had decimated Recoilless up to this point ,and it looked bleak for them and great for me. But then, David Defense got 4,5,6,6 for his reserves rolls... all 4 of his powerful units that were in the webway were deployed. I was expecting maybe one or two a turn. And we would have won... Ok, so not that bad. As typical for a DE player, he rushed and went into CC. While 'rons may not be A+ at CC, they are better then IG and Tau put together. So, I was in 3 CC, with three units. 2 of them happened to lose more then David, so I "lost" the CC that turn. I had to morale. Now, 'rons have a 10 leadership, so I wasn't sweating. BUT I ROLLED AN 11, and a nine, and the nine was a unit half depleted, so it got -1 to Leadership. To they both got Sweeping advanced.... there goes two whole units... not a problem right? WRONG! They were warriors... so... I ... phased out... -------------------- Note to selve... get my peoples to make the carrier bay doors open faster... |

By that time, Gerrg hadone Leman Russ and 2 squads and 1 heavy weapons squads.
With an untouched (basically) DE army, and a desimated Tau army (but had a hammerhead and battlesuits left), Gerrg was quick to die. He lasted longer than I thought he would though. -------------------- Note to selve... get my peoples to make the carrier bay doors open faster... |

Yea. We (Me, Recoilless, DavidDefense, Gerrg) to the GW near us. Heres what we got:
Me: 3 wraiths, Tomb Spyder, 5 Pariahs (fucking 12 dollars a model) Gerrg: Codex (had been using bootlegged copy, shitty), 2 heavy weapons blisters (4 men total) Daviddefense: (DE aren't in stores, onl online) Some Warhammer stuff, to convert into DE Mandrakes Recoilless: 2 Broadsides, Devilfish, Pathfinder squad -------------------- Note to selve... get my peoples to make the carrier bay doors open faster... |

Yup. Big GW party at my house afterwords. I found out the pariah models are a bithc to put together, abnd wraith models are so cool. All necron units are rediculously large... the wratiths are twice the height of SM troops, and have you seen the monolith? Fucking Ginormous.

Somehow he made these bling chains and painted them gold and strung them all over his monolith and then he painted the actual monolith gold silver and white and for the coup de grace he somehow wired neon LEDs to the bottom so that it would make it glow.
