Now what?

The way it was explained here and now by our HC is that the law is gone, the old law is re-instituted, and the huge guidelines stay.

This is the worst of all worlds. 2 inspections per year, the big book of guidelines, and no law to back it up.

Time for ODH to pull the guidelines I think. Some counties are talking about passing their own local mirror image of Jarod's law. I don't see that happening here.

How about you?

I don't see us instituting our own rules either. What a huge waste of time this has all been. Do you think ODH is going to send out a memo we can forward onto our schools?

We won't waste the time either. By the time we would get around to it, they will probably change it back or come out with something completely different!

So, what is everyone planning to do? I mean, that huge binder of guidance is way too much. I'm not climbing up on the roof and looking at HVAC units and all that. I don't think I could devote all the time spent on the spring school inspections to a second inspection in the fall. I'm not really sure what we're going to do.

I still don't understand why we have to go by the big binder and not back by the little 1977 yellow book. :dunno:

i agree with you. The binder should go out with the law. Back to '70's we should go.

It's :censor: . The supers throw a fit and talk big about how they are going to get "jarod" thrown out and how they are going to put us lowly punk inspectors in our place and now they get stuck with the same rules but twice a year inspections.

Take your PHD and :censor: :censor: , careful what you ask for B.

It's now appropriately edited... I think it conveys what he was trying to say without being offensive.

I can't remember for sure but I didn't think I used the "F" word, wasn't it "Fck"? That could mean anything. :D
