The planet's entire landmass has been covered - over the thousands of generations spanning galactic history - by multiple levels of the buildings that make up Imperial City. The oceans which once covered part of the planet's surface had been drained and stored in vast, underground caverns for eventual reuse. Several of these immense skyscrapers reach over 6,000 meters into the atmosphere.

Dantooine This planet, located in the Raioballo Sector of the galaxy, had a long history with the Old and New Republics, as well as the Alliance. In ancient times, it was the site of a Jedi training center under the command of Jedi Master Vodo Siosk-Baas. Dantooine had two moons and a dry savannah environment, and the homeworld to the Dantari race, as well as a number of unusual forms of animal life. Eriadu "Coruscant of the Outer Rim." During the last decades of the Old Republic, the Eriadu manufacturing shipyards brought financial prosperity to the planet, under Tarkin's political direction. There was even legislation in the Seswenna Sector that the sector capital be moved to Eriadu. However, the industrialization which occurred caused massive amounts of pollution to be dumped into the environment, and large portions of the planet's ecosystem were destroyed by pollution. Much of the planet's atmosphere carried an orange tinge to it, although the major cities also boasted yellow and green layers, all of which were the result of industrial and manufacturing outflows.

Kessel A planet with large spice mining operation, Kessel was the second and primary world in the Kessel System, far out in the Outer Rim. It had no natural atmosphere, so one was generated by huge processors. It was orbited by a single moon. Astrophysicists believed that Kessel, like the rest of the Kessel System, was doomed to be swallowed by the nearby Maw in the next few millennia, as the intense gravity of the multiple black holes drew it in. The miners who harvested the spice from the planet's crust worked in near-absolute darkness, so as not to activate the spice. During the era of the New Order, Kessel was used as an Imperial penal colony, with an Imperial garrison stationed on the moon. The prisoners were used as spice miners.

Korriban A wasteland, and barren and dead-like world, gnarled homeland of the evil Sith, her surface is littered with the tombs and monuments to their lives and deeds. With the end of the war the new political climate turned a blind eye to the desolate world, it was a source of too many bad memories from the war. Not to mention the Lords of the Sith were reportedly hidden away within their temple, an enemy the new government did not want to face so soon. They never realized, nor cared, when it became a part of the New Sith Order, it had no strategic or mineral value. The hidden storehouse of force artifacts and teachings, of course had remained a carefully guarded secret.

Ord Mantell Ord Mantell was known for its lenient banking laws and their flexibility. It was settled some 12,000 years before the Battle of Endor by Corellian colonists as an advanced military outpost for the Old Republic. Over time, more wealthy planets and better hyperspace routes diminished Ord Mantell's strategic importance, but became something of a free port for all manner of freighters and cargo ships.

Rattatak Rattatak is an Outer Rim world unknown to the Republic at the time of the Clone Wars. It was here that Count Dooku first discovered and recruited Asajj Ventress as he watched her emerge victorious at the gladiatorial death matches of The Cauldron. The planetary judicial system centered around the gladiator games; those convicted, or even merely believed, to be guilty were summarily thrown into the gladiator pits for the remainder of their lives, short as they might be. The planet is mostly mountainous, and is inhabited by the Rattataki and Trogodiles.

Ryloth This planet, the second world in the Ryloth System, was the homeworld of the Twi'lek race. Located in the Outer Rim Territories, Ryloth orbited its sun in such a way that one side was perpetually lit and the other was locked in the dark. These Bright Lands, where the daytime temperature reached 300 degrees centigrade, were scoured by huge heat storms that whipped around the planet with winds in excess of 500 kilometers per hour. These storms eventually died on the night side, but not before warming the dark side up enough to support minimal life. It was a dry, rocky world with a thin, breathable atmosphere. The Twi'Leks who lived on the planet mined the mineral ryll for various legal and illegal uses throughout the galaxy.

Tatooine The primary planet in the Tatoo system, this desert world was located in the Arkanis Sector of the Outer Rim Territories near Piroket and Ryloth, some 43,000 light-years from the galactic core. It was close enough to a major hyperspace nexus to make it easy to get to such worlds as Coruscant and Corellia, but its environment made it one of the most inhosptiable places in the galaxy. The planet's twin suns mercilessly heat the planet, keeping the sodium-rich deserts alive, and a trio of moons encircles the planet.

Terminus Terminus is a shipping center at the edge of the galaxy, not far from the Red Nebula. It's home to many immigrated species, but no sentients seem to have evolved there. It is mostly forested, with small mountains and hills. There is very little metal content in the planet, and, because of this, the inhabitants have grown quite adept at miniturizing things, even to the point of making bracelet-sized nuclear reactors. Conquered by members of the millitary led by Sith loyal to the Emperor alone Terminus was to be a new addition to the Empire, its technology radically advancing millitary power. However after the coup, Votigern the II established his Neo Sith Empire, using Terminus as his seat of power.

Yaga Minor The planet from which the Outbound Flight Project was launched during the Old Republic, Yaga Minor was the sight of an Imperial Ubiqtorate base and shipyard following the Battle of Endor. The Ubiqtorate base was housed in an orbital space station which had a unique design. Extending outward from the main station were a pair of corridor tubes that connected to outrider computer stations. This design, according to Imperial documents, allowed civilians to have access to information stored at the base, while keeping them out of the military section of the station. The planet's surface is mostly forest.
