-Tool changing the transparency and color of the aiming laser.
-Toggles original laser dot size or 50% reduced (see image below)

Helpful tip:
If you don't want to restart your game everytime you change something, use the in-game RESET command (in the menu).

Yeahh.. had to do a switch around with the PMD project. Since I have just a bit of time here this week, I decided to push this one out first.

EDIT: Just noticed that I was in such a rush with this that I forgot to change the version numbers on the readme and the program name XD
That's alright though, it's still v1.2 (as long as that's what it says on the rar filename).

Edit: is there any way to change the thickness of the laser?

Something important that needs to mentioned, in etc folder (extracted) the Core.dat needs to be changed so that its NOT Read-only (right click, properties uncheck it). This tool would not work AT ALL until I did that. Thought I was screwed for a second there, works like charm now! Good work!

Okay, that wasn't too bad. However, I don't think you need to repack it into DAT. Here are some steps for those having trouble:

Step1 - Extract etc.dat

Step2 - Copy the etc folder into your RE4 directory

Step3 - Find the core.dat file within the etc folder

Step4- Right click on core.dat, go to properties, and uncheck "Read only" and hit apply.

Step5- Put the laser tool in your RE4 directory

Step6- Run the tool

NOTE: The laser tool must be in your re4 directory...

This is what worked for me hopefully it will work for you. Maybe St.Vampyre, should pack the etc folder with the core.dat in his release.

Oh crap. I completely forgot about that unpack and read-only stuff.
I'll change the readmes and make the program output a core.dat file (for those who don't have it extracted.

Just a couple things.

First would be great to have a directory selection functionality because I know that I'm not the only one who didn't install the game to the default directory.

Second would be nice to have a walkthrough in the README on how to extract the core.dat file from the "etc" file and everything else that needs to be done prior to mod use.

You just have to extract everything in your installed directory
And I will have the readme updated soon.

When you say extract everything, do you mean move my game to the default install directory? If that's the case then I guess I'm just SOL because my C:\ is maxed out which is why I had to put the game on my F: drive.

nm, I get what you mean, extract the mod to the install directory. Stupid me.

Alright will do.

I extracted the etc file and put that etc folder into my RE4 directory and I unchecked the read-only box, but the tool tells me "File not found: etc\Core.dat." This sucks for me. I bet I'm the only one here that gets this problem.


* Oops, never mind. Stupid me, I was running the tool from my desktop. I put the tool in the RE4 directory and everything works fine now. Great job by the way.
